    Default 14/6 Barbarian bezerker/radient cleric

Didn't see any like this posted on page one of barbs, didn't bother to check further.

My barb life is coming up, and I must admit barb is my least fav class andam hunting for an acceptible compromise.

Edited: 36 pt 14/6 cg Human

    18 str + level ups
    8 dex
    16 con
    8 int
    12 wis
    14 cha

simple poss/poss/poss holy/goodburst/healing amp falchon user.

Feats power attack at 1, cleave human at 1, empower healing 3, extend, ic slash 12, two handed feats 9, 15, 18

    1 barb, 2-7 cleric, 8- barb

Rolled up a mule last night to take from 4-7 on this path to test aura lenght and healing output and rare affect on it/usage. Haven't played with savant yet and don't know what to expect. Barbs don't heal themselves is a common idea, wanted to see if this could help me run thru this life.

    Read this

There are some bugs... I haven't tested myself... but apparently a few things such as swapping weapons can cancel the aura

Kind of invisoning a quest like rainbow in the dark, 15 min quest with a shrine.....I'll have 6-7 rages at 3 min each? Enter, buff, aura, rage, kill......2 min later rage runs out or dismiss rage, rebuff if needed, heal up with empowered cure light, mod, serious loop (always full 700 pt or so mana bar torc/con opp) rehaste, rage, kill for 2 min repeat.........throw in a shrine if I have 5 rages instead of 7 type of deal.

No idea if aura is 5 pts or 20 a tick at level 6 and if it is 10 seconds or a min. No idea. I do know this will pull more of my accumulated gear into play and am testing, asking if it will make solo, soft group zerging less of a burden.

Well, besides wasting a feat on empower healing and APs on improved turning, having to dismiss rage every time you want to cast, likely not having enough SP for a barb's hp pool to flinch at...

Last I heard the aura was bugged and doesn't work while attacking.

Edit: Not to mention the irony/humorous possibility of dismissing rage to heal yourself... and dying from the con loss.

Hopefully that will be fixed. It will take some gear, but this could be a really good build.
I imagine this build w/ Concord Opp - getting back a ton of SP

    You might consider human though:
    1. no penalty to cha
    2. extra feat
    3. healing amp (for radiant ticks)
    4. +1/+1 adaptability stats

    what's the benefit of 14 barbarian -
2 rogue might also be interesting
    1. evasion, UMD....

With two enhancements of life magic, 3 3 min clikies from belt of healing amp at 18, empower healing and a permanent filled 700 sp mana bar for the cost really of just a toughness feat and the enhancement points I would have spent on toughness anyway.....

And I would be shocked if a cycle of cure light, mod, serious wouldn't heal 200 pts.....so maybe two cycles for signficant heAling.....all numbers from the gut, and a very foriegn concept, barb self healing.....playing as far as clikie management more like a pali.....cycling buffs and healing and rages.....

I'll know better by tomorrow once my mule gets to 7 and I can get a feal for real numbers.

All the gear in the world won't change the fact that your healing is equivalent to that of a lvl 6 cleric with an ardor 3 pot.

This is a full life away, sorc up now....so deves have 30 days to fix. I do have all the gear, unusual for a barb as far as accumulation....making idea more strange sounding.

To be fair, I usually sacrifice top end to be better at more things in my builds.....making barbs my least fav class for just that reason.....hard to sacrifice dps and get anything back.

I love 2 rogue, but will never get to try berserker if I do....get to 20 then tr. This way I get 18 and 19 (million xp) to play with a pre I'll never engage otherwise. Same reason I took aa on my current ranger life...

The turns regen - so radiant servant would tick away over time.
It might not be that great in "oh-sh**" situation, but throughout a whole quest it might heal a lot (especially w/ empower, devotion clickies, and lots of healing amp)

    Definitely a unique idea.

Exactly, so by tommorrow, my level 7 mule will have exact numbers for me to post on healing output, time to cycle once or twice thru the 3 healing spells, and even the aura output and duration.

I'll know tommorrow how sucky my idea is.....hehe, I'll keep ya posted. Gear simply gives me limitless mana and some healing amp.

Human does add cleave in. Probably makes sense.

I actually was leveling a 13 cleric / 7 barb to try that but deleted her unfortunately before the missing ticks while attacking was labeled as a bug.

    Some things to consider:
You need extend for the healing aura to last about as long as your rages
Auras are spell like effects, so you can't get a new one up while you're enraged
Lvl 7 radiant servant auras hit for 3 points per tick before items
    Humans get improved recovery
14 charisma gets you divine might
Frenzy does not impede spell casting so drop something to get cleave for frenzied berserker
Going barb without taking the PrE is a waste
Maxing attributes on multiclasses with different main attributes is a bad idea

To be frank i'd go with just 6 or 7 levels brb on a human because the healing aura really needs some levels to get into its own to at least heal your self damage from frenzy.
You'd also be able to cast better spells and will eventually find yourself frenzying more then raging anyways because of the loss of casting ability.
Rolling as human would get you a bonus feat and better self healing.

Here's the battlecleric i wanted to give a try, looses 2 strength compared to what you're planning (-2 base, -2 rage, +2 frenzy) but makes up for that with divine might 2 which is more damage then the 2 extra strength and dwarven axe enhancements together and works on anything.
Very nice self buffing for 20 BAB and more extra damage as well as fom, sr and other goodies.
Frenzied Zerg for vicious glances and deathless rage.
Can go backup healer if needed.
DR 12/- for short bursts to cut down larger crowds to better tankable size.

Methinks you might've missed the "barb life" part of the OP...
He's doing this for the barbarian past life from TR, either for the passive bonus or for completionist feat.

In order to do that, the majority of his levels have to be barbarian.

Yep, completionist. So need barb heavy levels.

Edited op to human, added cleave and extend at the cost of stunning blow. (not sold yet on extend vs stunning blow.). Changed stats to make sence and plan on simple tripple poss falchon

Good question on sp and I'll post tommorow. Don't see ant free eps for more sp....so base sp for level 6 cleric with 20wis (12+2 tome+6 goggs)........+300 sp from con opp goggs and min 2 boots. Can equipt skiver at shrines and zone ins for extra 50 for first buffs. No ac wearing torc and con opp should keep me at whatever that total is 100% of the time.

Need it to be enough to cast every buff I want and heal every up I have.......every 2-4 min. Don't know yet how much mana it will take to heal 550-600 hp and some temp buffs. Guessing about half of the 700 mana I'm expecting but will find out.

Bloodstone and Titan grips and other best ofgears (- tharnes goggs) for rest of my spots.

I haven't seen anyone mention it and I'm really not sure why (thought it would be common knowledge by now), but if your aura is ticking for less than it should after swapping weapons all you need to do is swing once and it will reset to its full potential.

I guess he is not planning to cast anything... this build relies on the healing aura of the new cleric PrE (Radiant Servant).

Btw, does it work under the effect of barbarian rage?
