And yes, I'm using lots of explanation points because this is a big deal. We haven't had this deal for DDO subscriptions for a few years, and it's a great option if you plan on subscribing long term.

Please note, this plan will probably not be around forever. If you're thinking about selecting this plan, I recommend you do so sooner rather than later. Rich, I *highly* recommend going premium. Since I left on my break, I've been buying points, adventure packs, character slots, shared bank, etc. - whenever they went on sale.

Right now, it's looking like I'll end up at about $140 to bring my account back to where I was with VIP (10 char slots, shared bank, WF & Monk, all adventure packs, etc). Currently waiting on mid-level packs and char slots to go on sale. My second account will cost me around $80 due to the TP I had saved up.

Anyway, that's pretty close to the $120 you'd spend for one year with the $59.99 sale. Given your playstyle, I'm guessing that the week delay in new adventure packs wouldn't bother you a bit.

That is the problem with long term VIP subscription - if you get distracted elsewhere, your sub is wasted. If only they can sell VIP by the hours, where only your actual login time counts towards usage...

I've been on this deal since it first came out and it's pretty good value if you want to go VIP. Cool they're opening it up again

I still wish I could buy adventure packs/store items as a VIP though, then I could start stocking up on premium items while I remain a VIP as they come out on special offer.

It really comes down to the point if you place any value personally on the existing VIP perks (such as they are). I am gonna be walking the fence here. On my main account, reupped on the program (game cards finally running out). On my second VIP I will be letting that go premium when the cards run out, and using the banked points to purchase stuff as needed (or on sale). Will not be upgrading either of the other 2 premium accounts since that was how they started and the outlay model for those nicely fits their usage. I had been debating on the price for sticking with VIP on the main, but this offer nicely tipped the scales for me.

It's funny. When the game wasn't F2P, I didn't even consider it. I wasn't going to spend money on a monthly fee. When it became F2P, after playing it for a little, I subbed for a year.

Would there be any other way besides credit card to purchase this? I was using Pay by cash to sub. Would be nice to be able to just do this sort of thing thru the DDO store.
PS: the current Pay by Cash price for six months is not the special price, can this be fixed?

The discounted price only applies to credit card (or debit) payments. You can use a pre-paid card to pay for it.

This price has never been available via PayByCash or Game Time Cards, and that isn't likely to change. Game Time Cards are valid for a specific amount of time. As they are sold by authorized retailers on our behalf, we aren't able to offer the same types of discounts.

However, we are looking into alternative payment methods for both VIP and Points purchases, so other payment methods could allow this discounted price at some point in the future.

I subscribe every 3 months. My sub isn't up until september. So the way I read it is that I can re-sub now, and then when september comes along I start on the 6 for $60 plan? And until then I'll be charged my current rate? Is this right?
