    Default Rogue/Ranger 32 point build setup first run

    I am getting ready to Do a rogue ranger multi with a 32 point build.

    I would like to keep it just a split class and use the feats that cross both

    My main idea is to get good search spot trap disarm Hide sneak and 2 handed tempest style ranger with tumble and Throwing knifes for range weapon And something like 2 short swords for for fighting

    I am not sure where I should put my stat points so this comes together

    I also have veteran build so I want to use that as well so I need a plan for my first 4 levels. Some have told me the first 4 levels of rogue are the most important

    Thanks any help with this would be great so I don't mess it up

    Well so far no one has any idea how I can do this. Hmm I really just need to find the a good place for my stat points. I was planing to go rog 8 / Tempest ranger 12 from what I have read I should build my rog first I hope that is right. I do hope that is right.

    Please I could really use some help

    I've been interested in rolling a character like yours as an alt and have been playing with the builder for a while. IMO there are 2 ways to go with this and several key factors to take into account.
    First thing is, yes, level 1 must be a Rogue to start all your key stats. With your stat points it all depends on what race you want. I prefer Human, but if you are wanting to dual wield shortswords or rapiers I would go with either Elf or Halfling (I prefer Halfling) I'd prefer a Human for my build and to use larger weapons for TWF but that's just me and with Human you have a couple of choices for stats.

    For Halfling i would go:

    STR 12
    DEX 16
    CON 14
    INT 16
    WIS 10
    CHA 10

    You could also drop Int by 2 and increase STR by 2 if you wish but that is preference but if you go this route you are definitely going to want to go with Weapon Finesse early on.
    If you want a Tempest look to your build, you really should take your Ranger levels to 12 to get Tempest 2 since Update 5 made Tempest 1 kinda squishy. Since you have Veteran Status I'll show you an Idea for a plan for your first 4 levels as I would do them.

    I suggest a 2/2 split in the first 4 levels because you get Evasion at Rogue 2 and you get TWF for free at Ranger level 2. Or you could even go Rogue 1 and Ranger 2-14 then Rogue 15-20. The high INT helps keep your Rogue sills allocated during your Ranger levels. There is really a lot of versatility in this build and Rogue/Ranger mix very well.
    This is seriously only a suggestion as over time i might take different feats to start with. You need Dodge, Mobility, and Spring attack for Tempest and you also now get Trapmaking at Rogue level 4 for free now. So there are some decisions to be made you just need to know what you want and when you want to have it by. Know that and you'll know what feats to take and when.

    This isn't what you asked for, but you got me to thinking. You mentioned using throwing weapons, but ranger is a bit of a waste for throwers since Bow STR & Manyshot don't apply; and short swords aren't the best DPS choice either. OTOH, Ninja Spies can use short swords and monks get bonuses to using shuriken. Halflings get flanking and throwing weapon bonuses. Hmmm...

    So I came up with a halfling rogue 13 / monk 7 Ninja. First version also goes for Assassin II, second version doesn't take any rogue PrE; only difference is in the enhancements.

Monk 7 provides 3 extra feats, tier 2 stances, Ninja Spy (centered w/short swords & Shadow Fade being the big pluses), Wholeness of Body. Rogue 13 provides the skills, sneak attacks, 2 bonus feats, and a 2nd tier PrE of your choice if you can afford the enh pts. Basically you are one sneaky backstabbing mofo trapmonkey who also has pretty good AC and can rapid-fire shuriken. At low levels you use handwraps or kamas until you get Ninja Spy at lvl 8, where you switch to short swords.

    Anyway, might not be what you're looking for, but it was fun coming up with it.

    I was did already make my Rog But I forgot to write down all my stats and I just seen your reply now. I so far just made the rog and have not done my first run yet so I still have my next 3 level up to do because of my vet status.

    Now I was going to level up to 4th I thought to get it started take 3 levels of rog and 1 ranger Some have told me level up to 4th in rog first then add 1st level of ranger but I really would like to get this shaped before first run

    Any help as far as what feats and abilitys I should use when i level up in the next 4 levels would be great

    At what level will I be able to get my tempest 1 skills and should I add 2 weapon with my rog skills or ranger

    I was wanting to know if it is ok to add my first level of ranger at 4th or should I wait till 5th before adding ranger?
