It isn't the end of the world, it just means combing the auction house for +8 or greater weapons listed for less than half their value, and I've already found all I need. It just is a bit annoying that as far as I saw it was neither declared a bug nor listed as fixed.

Sigh. Pallys are already hard to play as it. With it being the most stat hungry class. Now the devs nerf this???
I hate the devs have something against Paladins.

Exploits are typically not mentioned in either the known issues or release notes.

Yeah well, if it was an exploit, they let it go on for a bit too long, don't you think? I've been playing 2 1/2 years and it's always been a well-known fact that this works. Might as well ban everyone who has a level 14 pally on their account

there were several threads about it just when the update went live. it had some more or less heated discussion about if it was an exploit or not but fact remains, nowhere was it mentioned as a bug or that it was changed. it definitely does not work anymore and the only other time things like this don't get mentioned at all, while affecting so many are exploits.

draw your own conclusions, though I still think the idea ppl using this were exploiters is mildly put a pile of.. err, ridiculous

It wasnt mentioned that holy sword no longer charges energy cells. It was mentioned that the description of holy sword components was changed. The first time I read it (on lam release notes) i figured it was the change that would no longer allow us to charge cells with holy sword.

True and yes, they can be around forever.

Devs have also stated the known lists isn't definitive.
Bugs and exploits don't make into the list.

Just another case of pallys getting the short end of the stick...

Happens alot it looks like... zeal nerf. kotc stun nerf. twf/thf nerfs contribute as well.

Pally got parked and... Sits there... Just not as fun and unique as they could be. Or should be.

I keep lookin at him to decide *** to do with him now. And i just don't see anything good. Everything they can do.. Another class can do better. And usually require less work to do it. About all you can say for pally now is they are pretty good self sufficient average melee toons. Nothing special.. Altho they do have one of the best capstones in game.

Sure not the holy warrior of evil killin they should be tho.

Ok, this is a point of annoyance with me.

Zeal wasn't "nerfed". It was boosted.

Old Zeal: You gain +10% more attacks per minute. This does not include smites and divine sacrifices.

New Zeal: You gain +10% more attacks per minute. This does include smite and divine sacrifices.

I can think of no reason why allowing you to get more of your strongest attacks is a "nerf".

And as for the stun... Did you read the description?

    From the compendium:

You may expend a turn undead attempt to stun a targetted demon or other Chaotic Evil outsider. A successful Will save of DC 10 + Paladin Level + Charisma Modifier negates this effect. The target gains repeated saves to break free of this effect. Note that non-Chaotic Evil outsiders will be unaffected by this ability.
That's the same description it had before the update.

Censure Demons working on Devils was a bug...and it was fixed. Bug fix =/= nerf.

The only thing you were right about was the TWF/THF nerf...which, surprise, wasn't Paladin-specific. Not only that, but it hit Paladins much less than it hit other classes, like Rangers.

Facts are important. Learn to use them.

Actually, the THF nerf hit pally's much more than any other class, on par with the hit to barbs, due to kotc and capstone damage from glancing blows (which went away unless you stand perfectly still).

not to stir anything up but that is your absolute personal opinion and quite "interesting" at that. ALL the classes can do things other classes can not do. otherwise there would be only one class to begin with. including crafting projectiles, weapons, teleportation etc. anyway, too much hype about a rather insignificant change tbh.

also, a change to the description of holy swords hardly says "what you can do with holy swords has been changed".

I never said the description said that. But i know turbine, and had a suspicion that this would happen. Looks like it was warranted.

New Zeal: You only get +10% more attacks per minute with your main hand only

For THF, New Zeal is better than Old Zeal. For TWF, it's worse.

double strikes can proc offhand attacks too (or offhands proc doubles strikes, not sure which it was), thats why fighters and palas with zeal have 110%/88%

so new zeal is like the old one

True, although there are still times when standing still is better than moving around constantly.

And, except for a player planning on getting an epic Sword of Shadows, a player that would know how to twitch would likely also be able to just make a TWF Paladin.

Unless they didn't have the feats for THF, in which case nothing's changed.

But for TWF specifically, it hit Paladins a lot less than it hit some of the other classes.
