    Default Starblazers Live-Action Movie Trailers!!!

    Many of you may remember a Japanese anime cartoon series called "Starblazers" here in the U.S. back in the 80s. I thought is was so **** cool!

    Well, apparently, a live-action version is being made and is to be released in Japan in late 2010!

    There have been a couple trailers released, one 32 second trailer released 5 months ago and a new one lasting 1 minute and 31 seconds was released 3 days ago.

    When I was a kid, this was like my favorite cartoon ever. The I saw your post, and I was so excited...

    Then I watched the trailer...

    Sigh...this looks about as good as that last D&D movie I was all excited about

    It was hugely influential for me. I hope it is worth it.

    I wonder if Harlock will make a guest appearance again.
    A possible solution to the carpal tunnel mouse click issue with turn ins.

    OMG!!!!! Geek-gasm. I loved this show as a kid, in fact I still have season one on DVD, I have never found season 2 or 3 or I would own those also.

    I hope they made a sub-titled version, but please no dubbed.

    Default Best cartoon ever

    I almost bankrupted myself in college in the early to mid-90's buying the VHS collection of these. You could also buy the Japanese language feature films. As intense as the US version was for an after school cartoon, the Japanese movies have no problem bringing the body bags.

    Throughout the years as ATI/Nvidia have battled I always found myself saying Nvidia a la the Comet Empire's Prince Zordar.

    EDIT: Just watched the trailer and got involuntary chills while they were winding up the Wave Motion Gun. Man, I'm easy.

    That's the one...I've been looking around to see if there is a US release date planned...but at this moment no date is given.

    ...you know when they were about to fire the Wave Motion Gun, it was all over but the shouting for the bad guys! LOVED that show!
