    Default Fairytail the lightfooted wizard

    Hello everyone,

I'd like to receive comments on a small build I'm thinking of.
The plan will be to have a halfling wizard with self-healing capabilities, solo-able and stealthy.

Here's my plan at level 4.
Through the levels, key points will be taking Rogue 2, Insightful Reflexes and Toughness.

    What do you think?
    Comments and critics very appreciated.

no one care how you build a L4 toon. Post your question/build for L20.

the challenging of halfling wiz is you have to spend 3 feats to get some heal clickies. if you take rogue 2, you should get enough UMD easily to use heal scroll. not saying scroll healing can match WF reconstruct or halfling heal, but it could cover a large part of it. 18 wiz will miss the last free metamagic feat, so you will have 7 normal feat + 4 metamagic feats. what will you choose?

Not to mention that Wizards can, at the moment, use healscrolls with no chance of failure... but noone knows how long that'll last.

it is fixed on the test server already. update 5 will launch by the end of this month.

i don't like the fix but that's clearly an exploit.

Post your level 20 plan, then we can comment.
This could prove to be a fun build to play. Empowered and maximised, even your least dragonmark could heal you nicely. That gives you quit nice healing abilties that dont cost sp.

First of all, thank you everyone (even if I only quote Stonen).

    I don't have a clear plan to-20 so far.

I actually think it will be quite a no-brainer: like I said I'd like to take a 2nd level of Rogue + Insightful Reflexes (to give me a good Evasion) and Toughness (well, quite mandatory), rest into Wizard, while pouring skill points in Concentration, Hide, Move Silently and UMD - and into Spot the remaining.

I like the idea of a stealthy little wizard going around with Invisibility, Knock, Exp. Retreat + Rogue Faster Sneaking I, with the ability to self-heal on demand...

While I'm here I could also ask you: how useful is Knock?

    Heya,

Don't let the non-20 posts demotivate you! The sneak-wizard has been done before (browse forums for this, there's plenty), but it's a fun concept!

Knock is as useful a spell to have for a wizard as any. Like other DC spells, the spell relies on your spellcasting modifiers to be useful. The only problem with it is that some locked objects have a very high DC that require items to overcome. Rogues can use items, wizards don't have that alternative, and when you're facing a locked shrine, gambling for a 15-20 roll is not something you want to spend your last SP on. That said, i've knocked many a thing on my arcanes, and have not regretted taking the spell. Seeing as you're a wizard and have a wider array of spells to choose from, compared to a sorcerer, I'd prepare it for sure.
