DDO Care Packages for our Military gamers :)

This is a really great idea! As someone who has served for 19 years, I want to help!
Little things mean a lot to a Soldier. Gamer specific will be more tricky, but I have ideas.

Oh, wow, Lessah...thanks so much!!!!!!!! A little more publicity would be wonderful, since there's no other place on the forums to put this.

So far, I don't have any military gamers who have signed up, but if anyone knows a DDOer who's currently deployed or will be soon, please let them know about this! I've sent a few messages to people that I know of, so please spread the word!

And phalaeo, I will definitely be contacting you once this gets off the ground. Someone to help organize would be awesome.

The first currently deployed DDOer has sent me their info, along with a specific request that is already in the works towards being fulfilled.

I am going to be setting up the PO Box ASAP now that we have interest, and will be posting back with name and address for ya'll to send stuff.

Game-related things that I'm looking for...
DDO art (I know there are some very talented folks out there)
Tshirts, etc. DDO-related
DDO Youtube videos
Awesome/uber/funny screenshots
Notes for our deployed gamers, of a personal or game-related nature
And anything else you might like to add

Non game-related items that will also be considered...
Non-perishables
Tshirts to wear under uniforms (tan, white, black, navy blue, etc.)
Socks (generally black, non-ankle sock varieties)
Gaming magazines/articles that may be of interest
...anything else you feel would be appropriate

Putting this out there now...any items of an adult nature will not be sent out in care packages, as I cannot be certain of specific command policies on such items.

Bump and package sent! Got a USB drive full of DDOcast stuff. Also threw in Ron's character planner as it might be a fun way to "play" something DDO-related offline and all of the DDO temporary tattoos I had left from PAX East (somewhere in the 5-10ish range.)

Wow what can say besides that is very thoughtful of you all. I am currently deployed out to iraq and do agree any little bit that you recive from back home helps to easy the stress out here. So if you are still looking for deployed personnel then hit me up through Pm i knw i have my address around here somewhere. To all those who have praticpated in this i thank you and if any of you are from kyber i look forward to running with you on my return in december.

As a current Active duty guy it makes me happy to see threads like this. I spend most of my time in the middle east flying supplies in and people out. For the people deployed a year or more this could really make their week. A package from family is amazing, a letter from someone you don't know is priceless.

Ok, bumping back my goal til the end of this month. I'm going to be picking up some non-perishables to put in the packages, but I'd appreciate a few more items to be able to toss in. I have two packages going out at the end of the month.
