Question Just seeing if I am going in the right direction

I am a fairly new player and this is my first wizzy build. It is a 32 pt elf build. Just looking for some comments and suggestions on where I am at (is it a good place or not) and where I can go to make my wizzy better. Right now I am Level 14 Wizard, my base stats without tomes or anything are:

    STR 10
    DEX 10
    CON14
    INT 21
    WIS 8
    CHA 8

    With Bonus and and Equipment:

    STR 12
    DEX 12
    CON 20
    INT 31
    WIS 14
    CHA 10

My HP are at 146 with my items on and my SP are 1170.

The feats I took are Empower, Enlarge, Eschew, Extend, Mental Toughness, spell focus

On the Enhancements side: Improved Empowering I & II
    Elven Keen Eyes I
    Ekven Arcanum I
    Wizard Concentration I
Wizard Lineage of Elements I. II and III
    Wizard Lineage of Force I
Wizard Lineage of Deadley Elements I and II
Wizard Lineage of Deadly Force I
    Wizard Energy Manipulation I
Wizard Elemental Manipulation I, II, and III
    Wizard Force Manipulation I
Wixard Energy of the Scholar I, II and III
Wizard Subtle Spellcastion I, II, and III
    Wizard Int, I and II
Wand / Scroll Mastery I and II

For my main weaponry I carry two items: +3 Superior Potency VI Club and a +3 Major Fire Lore Scepter of Spell Penetration IV

Any help, suggestons would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    That's pretty OK.

    Some things to know:
    1. Elf race doesn't add to wizards. It's not a big deal, but you have -2 racial constitution for no real benefit.
    2. The Warforged race adds a lot to wizard and sorcerer, because of the Repair spells.
    3. That many Energy enhancements can be excessive.
    4. Subtle Spellcasting enhancements have low value, or sometimes even negative. Casters are usually either not doing any damage spells (so they don't have aggro), or casting so much damage that a percentage reduction won't stop them from having aggro. Plus, it is frequently BETTER for you to have aggro, so monsters will follow you and stay in your blast range.
    5. For a non-WF wizard it's a good idea to put points into UMD. Your UMD will probably never get great, but an amount of affordable self-healing is useful.

Just to add a few more thoughts to what A_D said...

    1. I would consider swapping Eschew for Maximize. I personally didn't miss Eschew at all, and would not live without Maximize at this point. Sometimes you just need to dump mana for damage, and a maximize/empowered firewall is just a beautiful thing.

    2. I would consider dropping Enlarge for one of toughness, greater spell pen, improved mental toughness or even quicken. Not that enlarge is useless, but I personally find these others to be more useful. As you will be very HP challenged, I would consider toughness. While an additional 23 HP doesn't sound like much, you won't have a lot of HP at end game on this build, and it may make the difference between getting one/two shotted or not.

In general though, if this is your first build, you are doing pretty well!
