Hunter for how long?

I'm at level 6 pure paladin and took hunter of the undead for delaroes (sp), necro chap 2 maybe 2 and maybe sands which would put me around level 12 or 13. When and where would the KotC pre best be switched to? Cause I'm not sure just what critters or considered evil outsiders other than devils and such.

I would switch once I'd finished necro 4 flagging, so about L16 which is around the time you enter the vale. The extra damage from Knight of the chalice also seems to work on most undead as well as demons, renders, reavers, devils. So pretty much everything in the vale and amrath.
