    Question Negative Energy Immunity: useful?

I was just wondering yesterday, while tanking X on HoX and beeing hit just by her Horrid Wiltings:

Does Negative Energy Immunity items reduce Horrid's damage and Negative Levels "gained"?

( If it doesn't, wouldn't it be cool if it did? )

negative energy immunity should work like deathward except be permanent and undispellable.

Not getting negative levels is awesome, though I am not sure about wilting I know inflict spells will not work on you along with some other nasty effects.

Back when I played NwN, Horrid caused "Magical" damage, thus spells such as Negative Energy Protection and Death Ward were useless against it - although they had Shadow Shield which also granted immunity to all Necromancy spells.

Guess I'll have to paint my body with sticky glue so my bodily moistures don't evaporate when attacked by those - just gotta be careful or I'll die like that girl in Goldfinger

I believe that when the quest to kill Whisperdoom first came out, and players were exposed to Horrid Wilting for the first time when she cast it, that it did negative damage. I used my silver flame trinket to eat one of them without getting reamed.

    Since then, it's been changed.
