Default The barbarian past life feat game

Right, let’s play a game that I like to call.

“What would be a better past life feat then what barbarians currently have?”

    Rules:
    1. Serious and silly ideas are wanted.
    2. Don’t do anything that will get you banned.

    I'll start.

    A bonus to getting healed.
You were wounded and healed countless times in your life. Your new body is ready for the healing magic that you were so accustomed to in your last life.

A bonus to intimidate and will saves like from the bullheaded feat.

The ability to smash stuff with your head. Common, you know you want to. It wold be something like a change in the unarmed attack animation that monks get. Or you could get a special animation when smashing boxes.

Past Life Feat: Silly Lock, Picks Are For Kids!

You recall your frustration of having a raged 46 Strength and find yourself blindly staring at a tiny, locked chest, immediately halting your frenzied, death-dealing path through a dungeon. You are allowed a single use of Ultimate Bash to bash through one locked door or crush any chest to unlock its contents per rest.

    Past Life: Barbarian
You were a barbarian in a past life. You occasionally find yourself filled with a nearly irresistible urge to smash boxes. With your head. When smashing boxes, your attack animation is changed to a head-butt. Due to the brain damage this has caused, you suffer -2 to INT and CHA, but gain +2 to CON as your body has gotten more resilient to the punishment you have inflicted upon it. Additionally, the gaping wounds on your head cause your opponents to be filled with terror, granting a +4 to Intimidate checks. Finally, as the language and critical thinking centers of your brain have hemorrhaged, you are immune to verbal forms of mind control and receive a bonus of +2 to Will saves.

After a full and lonng life of dealing and taking damage you have built up a tolerance to damage both received and self inflicted thus gaining +1 exceptional DR wich stacks with all current DR and on vicious damage as well.

**** you! i just thought of that and came to post it and you beat me!

but yeah, a DR of 1 that stacks with everything, including magical stuff, would be perfect.

a warforged favored soul with a DR of 18 would be nice

    Past Life: Barbarian
You were a barbarian in a past life. You know how to relax after a good time of smashing things with your head. You know how to have a good time smashing things with your head. You now have the Quaffing feat. Any time you are resting in a tavern you can quaff ale for a bonus of +2 to CHA for the first 2 minutes, +6 to CHA for the next 1 minute but then, as the ale you quaffed overwhelms you, a -4 to CHA for the next 2 minutes and then you fall to the ground as if commanded for 2 minutes - no saving throw. When you get up you have a -2 DEX penalty for 2 minutes and your vision is impaired as if you were in the Solid Fog spell.

You were a Barbarian in a past life. You know how to call out "I'm cursed!" Any time you receive a curse while raged, the nearest healer carrying Remove Curse potions will automatically stop what they're doing and cast it on you.

You were a Barbarian in a past life. You know how to sponge heals. Any time you trade Heal scrolls or Major Mnemonic Enhancement Potions to a player, they receive 10% more than what you traded them. These consumables then become bound to character.

Now the sponge heals feat has potental especily as a passive feat. Mabey you have sponged heals for so long that it has given you a affinity with out of range healers auto teleporting them to your location anytime you fall below 20 % health.

Default When Past lives go wrong

You are a wizard who recalls your past life as a barbaian.
you now feel like a dress wearing little girl and have +5 to emo checks.

you are a bard who recalls your past life as a barbarian.
your bard songs are totally bad ass metal ballads and you have an affinity for tight leather and great axes

you are a pallidin who recalls your past life as a barbarian.
your rages cause you to do terrible, horrible, unspeakable things to friend and foe alike. you loose your class and become a fighter without bonus feats but know you totally deserve it after what you did with that kobold shaman and the halfing chick on Saturday.

    Past life barbarian:
You were a barbarian in your past life. You remember being enraged, charging into a pack of monsters then fleeing away, looking at the skinny cleric be more courageous than yourself... Even enraged. You gain immunity to fear and hold effect while enraged.

You were a barbarian in a past life. Your grip on your weapon is as powerful as any primate. You have the ability to wield a greataxe or greatsword in each hand.

    Passive

    Past Life: Barbarian
You were a barbarian in a past life. Your skin has thickened and your ability to absorb incoming damage has improved. Each time you acquire this feat you gain 1DR/-. This feat can be stacked up to three times. This ability stacks with Barbarian innate Damage Reduction and Damage Reduction enhancements but no other forms of DR.

    Selected

    Past Life: Berserker's Fury
You recall more about your past life as a barbarian. You gain +1 hit point per character level, have +2 to your Intimidate skill and can enter a barbarian rage six times per rest (Activate this barbarian ability to enter a bloodthirsty frenzy, granting you a +2 bonus to Strength and Constitution, a +2 Morale bonus to Will saves, and a -2 penalty to AC. When the rage ends, however, you will lose the hit points granted to you by increased Constitution and become fatigued. Your rage will last for 30 seconds.) If you already have the Rage Feat, you will instead have your Barbarian Rage Strength and Constitution are increased by 2 each. Selecting this Feat allows for investment in Toughness Enhancements.

(additional charges per investment in Warchanter Prestige)

    make it happen

The barbarian past life feat is actually great. It increases a barbarian's rage duration by about 40% and gives the equivalent of toughness just no enhancement and a lousy 30 sec rage clicky. What I would do if I wanted to make a twf or human thf barbarian and were serious about it would be to go cap out a barbarian and then tr into an 18 barbarian 2 fighter twf warforge or go with human level 20 twf or thf barbarian. I would take cleave, improved crit, stunning blow, barbarian past life, twf or thf feats (note its interesting how little dps the thf feats actually add in terms of splash damage perhaps they are bugged) and power attack if human and for the wf add toughness as well. The duration on your rages is phenomanal for places like DQ1 and chain of flames epic which just rocks.

Edit: by the way the 40% rage duration increase is not in the Berserker Fury feat description I just hope they keep it because it makes Tring barbarians actually worthwhile.

Its alot cooler for barbarian splashes; allowing another class splashed with barbarian to actually get some decent length rages.
