Well, I suppose I should explain more about myself and what I'm looking for.
I've been playing DDO since beta. Played for about 2 years, took a year off and then came back when it went to F2P last fall. I have all the quests and classes/races unlocked and I put in about 2-10 hours of playtime a day. I have several toons that range from lv 4 to 20 with many in-between. I enjoy a good time and playing with people I know. I know most of the ins and outs of the game and would consider myself well knowledgeable in DnD and DDO. I enjoy chatting on headset in a party while questing and will often chat in guild chat about nothing at all. I have a crazy sense of humor and try to spend down time making otherwise stupid (and sometimes even unfunny) jokes. Oh, and sometimes I cuss on the headset. I try "not" to get overboard with the words I use but a few do slip out. I am very patient, I won't drop a party until the job is done and I enjoy helping and teaching new people about quests and game knowledge. I can be a quest or raid leader if asked to but I often like being out of the limelight. I was part of the first raid party to kill the red dragon on the Fernia Server (3rd overall to the other servers of the time) and have completed high-level quests on elite with either 1 or 2 other people. So, I would say that my skills are strong in DDO and I have no problems listening to orders from party or raid leaders.
I've been in the same guild since beta started. I love the people in the guild I'm in still but it isn't what it used to be anymore. So many people used to come on and play that there was never a problem getting a party together to do something. However, if there's 5 people on on a weekend night, that's a GREAT night now. We used to do raids at LEAST once a week and even if we failed the raid (you know, back in the days when NO ONE could beat the titan), we still had a great time playing together. So, that's what I'm looking for now. A well founded guild with a strong player base that likes to have a fun time, enjoy each other's company, and do a raid once in awhile. I'm not a power gamer but I do like a shot at gear for my toons. After all, I'm not going to be able to find rings for my monk if I don't.
Some bad guild fits for me are people that are "too" casual. I don't want to use 20 heal scrolls only to have 1/2 the group say, "well, I was suppose to go the bed an hour ago, cya tomorrow". Also, plan raids but at LEAST give a 3-5 day notice so people can set up times and schedules so most of the guild people can go. I also don't like quitters, if we party wipe, sometimes that happens. I don't care who did it (unless they were griefing), we pick ourselves back up and try again. No crying about it and no blaming people for it and no dropping party because of it. I don't mind pugging now and then (since that's pretty much what I've been doing 98% of the time for the past 6 months) but I would like a big enough guild where we can do a 12-man raid as a guild only run. So, having 100 members in your guild isn't bad unless of course you have each member with 20 alts in that guild.
Well, I'm hoping that I'll find a good guild here. I would "hope" you test me out before giving me a free pass into your guild without some sort of initiation. If your guild has a website that's great, but I'm willing to be flexible on my perception of a good guild without one. If you're interested in taking me aboard, send me a PM. I'll chat with you and give you a few of my toons names so you can test me out. I've been honest and forthwith of all the information I had to present. I would hope for the same courtesy and professional attitude for an applicant to your guild. Thank you and hope to talk with you soon. Peace.
