Default Level 13... Learned about alignment, should I reroll.

    Sup guys,
I've hit level 13 on my first toon, on the way to hit 14. Everything went smooth untill I've learned about how alignment could have an impact on my character. I made him chaotic good, now I learn that some items gives negative level if you are a good-aligned character... Yay. Also, I learn that end-game, mobs uses Unholy damages, which deal extra damage to good characters, yay again.

I google how to change alignment, seems like there's no way to do so. Can change race, class, but not alignment... Seems like it's easier to change our race than change our mind huh ?_?

I am a perfectionist, so I want to optimize my character... However, something as stupid as alignment to reset god knows how many hours of playtime... Well, I'd rather not say what I think.

Anyway, are the items worth rerolling for? Does, with the current line of evolution of the game, the probability to be hurt by being good gets more often in later patches?

    Currently your options are:

    /reroll
    True Resurrection
...or wait for the Alignment Change option available in the DDO Store "Soon (tm)."

I agree, the alignment system is pretty borked in DDO, and the effects are not immediately apparent... and an option to change alignment would be very handy.

    Don't change your alignment.
Chaotic Good is fine. Lost of people are Chaotic Good.
You can use chaotic/anarchic items, and good items.
    Don't worry about it.

There are certain benefits of being neutral, but it's just a few small benefits... nothing to worry about.

I am already planning to true reincarnate as soon as I hit level 20... This allows the alignment change?

A few small disadvantages, too. I'm locked out of using anything of "pure good". Bah.

Hmmm... As my leveling process goes, I feel the 1d6 is getting more and more worthless each time my XP bar goes up heh...

It is more then just a d6. 2 scenarios:

    1. Fighting devils, that d6 of Pure Good, allows your weapon to bypass their DR.
    2. That d6 is also part of better weapons. Some of the best randomly generated weapons are weapons like +5 shocking burst of pure good.

IMO, pure good is a great choice, because you don't get locked out of using weapons.
