Oh, no problem with RP...all but one person that I have ever played with have enjoyed a RP-centered or RP-heavy campaign, but unfortunately, back then, I did not have the option to kick them, because those were usually the ones that were available most often, and the ONLY players that didn't have a screw loose...
Back in the day, it wasn't as easy as it is now to find good players for PnP, especially if you tell them before beginning that you don't give Vorpal Scythes to Lv8 characters. Seems like waaaaay too many people are of the monty-haul/videogame play style around me. :/
...still, I prefer to waste my time reading up on Grapple, as opposed to arguing with a PC as to why I will not let him leap from the floor to a chandelier 30 feet off the ground, then backflip onto a staircase on the opposite side of the room, while kicking his oponnent in the face on the way, even though he's wearing full plate, and has a dex of 11. Much easier to say, Roll jump, then tumble...oops, you are prone and take 2d6 damage from falling off a table onto some broken glass awkwardly.
