    Default Vanilla Oil

    Vanilla Oil
    TN Warforged Fighter 20

Concept: An extremely simple and vanilla build, vanilla oil is nothing special. However, as a template, it works great for new players and vets alike, as it is both easy to play and extremely powerful, even without very much gear. With gear, it stands out as one of the two "Max" DPS builds, along with a WF FB. Mainly, the point of posting the build here is so I can link to it in my signature

Gameplay: You'll have so many haste boosts and power surges, that using them conservatively isn't much of an issue. In addition, you have intimidate, which is capable of even tanking Suulomades on some difficulties!

    Starting Stats:
    18 STR (16 pts)
    15 DEX (8 pts)
    17 CON (8 pts)
    8 INT (0 pts)
    6 WIS (0 pts)
    6 CHA (0 pts)

[For 28 point build, with +1 DEX tome, get 16 DEX lower STR to 17 and CON to 15]

    Ending Stats:
    52/66 STR (18 Base +5 Levels +6 Item +3 Enhc +8 Power Surge +2 Rage Spell +2 Madstone Proc +3 +3 Tome +2 Yugo Pot/ +4 Tome +1 Litany +6 Gloves of the Titan +2 Madstone Clicky +4 Hezrou)

Is this build not supposed to have Power Attack, or am I just blind?

The build in his post indicates that it is taken at level 10.

So it was the latter then. I'm blind, lol.

This is why you should get more than 5 hours of sleep, folks.

The reason for taking PA later than in most builds is because a -5 to-hit is actually noticeable in many areas (Skeleton arci, gwylan's elves). However, things like kensei will give an almost free boost to damage and to hit, so that's why I decided to take it early.
