    Default Cleric Crazy SP

So ive been playing cleric and Loving every moment of it but there has been one thing that has caught my attention apparently there is a Guy who has 3000 Sp and is a cleric... My question is By endgame How Crazy should my Sp be and what items should i look for to Get it up?

PS: I know all about heal scrolls and wands and Stuff and how that will help mana efficiency but i want my sp at a lvl where i require less of all that
Im your Heal slave, use me well
Feyary(Arcane Archer), Feyala( healing Cleric), Feylah (trap monkey Rogue)

That seems a bit high for a pure cleric. In general what you want to do is:

    • start with 18 wis
    • put all ability level ups into wis
    • take cleric (and human if you are) wis enhancements
    • take the dwarf (if you are) sp enhancements
    • use the best wis item you can find
    • take the cleric SP enhancements
    • take Mental Toughness & Imp Mental Toughness feats (I actually don't recommend this as a good use of feats, but if you are looking for max sp...)
    • The best power, wizardry, magi, or archmagi item you can find
    • crafted SP item (T3 greensteel from the shroud - preferably conc op so that you can regen sp if hit in combat)

That's the basics, I'm sure I'm missing something

There is also a trinket that falls in "Weapons Shipment" that pretty much is a free SP potion per rest.

Lets see if i can sum up...

    Bse SP = 1205

    18 Base Wis
    3 Enhancements
    6 Item
    3 Exceptional
    5 level up
    1 litany
    +4 Tome
    = 40 Wis Final

    = 435 from wisdom

    200 From archimagi

    150 from exceptional shroud gear

105 From mind toughness (Human Feat)
110 from energy of the zealot

105 for each extra Improved Mental toughness X 6 feats = 630 (All character feats)

    Total maximum sp = 2835

Unless im missing something, a cleric wont be able to get to 3k sp. And please note that this character spent all his feats on IMT, meaning he has no empower, maximize, empower healing or anything else.

It is much more important to have healing enhancements and reduced costs on metamagics than to have a bigger ****. I mean, sp pool.

It is more important to be efficient with the sp that you have than to have the most sp possible in the game. And using scrolls and potions when the situation require.

You can get 2 extra Wisdom from a Yugo favor pot and 60 extra sp from Dwarven Faith so 2914 if I added it correctly.

Anyway, the guy you heard about must've been a Favored Soul, they can reach that much easily enough, if they want to.

Mental Toughness cannot be taken Multiple TImes.

3k Spellpoints on a Cleric is impossible.

He is either telling a fib or Including extra spellpoints per rest that are available via Mysterious Bauble, Spell storing ring, or Eardweller effects.

It is possible .. A friend of mine at lvl 25 (pure human cleric) with a bunch of multiple past life (think he has 26 atm) sits at almost 3300 sp. And that's before we start buffing.

Anytime ANYONE gives you some outrageously high number for some aspect of a character, you can be sure that they have gimped away other aspects of the character.

A cleric with close to 3000 SP would be a useless tool for doing so. As the example above showed, they would need to forego a ton of other useful feats that would actually make their spell casting better than just having more SP would. You can hit 2000 SP with a capped cleric and be extremely functional and probably of more use to your party than someone gimped to get 3000. Without viable metamagics, it will take multiple casts of spells to get the same result a cleric with metas can get, thereby consuming those extra points.

Same hold true for some of those outrageous Hit Point builds some people made with piles of Toughness feats, etc. That were not much more than meatbags. Not all that useful when all is said and done.

Just for fun, I decided to figure out what the MAX a Cleric could have spell point wise.

    18 Cleric/1FvS/1Sorc 40 Wisdom 30CHR 3 Past Lives as a Sorc, 3 Past Lives as a FvS.

    80 Magical Training
    930 L18 Cleric
    100 L1 Sorc
    100 L1 FvS
    405 CLeric Wisdom Bonus
    100 Sorc CHR Bonus
    100 FvS CHR Bonus
    110 MT
    110 IMT
60 3x SORC Past Life Passive feat
60 3x FvS Past Life Passive Feat
    110 SOrc Past Life Feat
    200 ARchMagi
20 Bonus SPell Points for FvS/SOrc on Items
    150 Exceptional Spell Point Item
15 Bonus Spell Points for FvS/Sorc on Items
    110 EotZ
    60 Dwarf SPell Points
    ----
    2700

There seems to be a little confusion as to whether or not you can take the selectable feats more than once. EVen if you can take the SOrc Feat 3 Times that would put you up to 2920. Still short of 3k

you can take mental toughness only once, so subtract 525 from your total there
also it could be a dwarf for another 50sp or how much that is via enhancements

but in no way can a cleric get over 2500sp not counting items and such cause then the possible sp is only limited by inventory space (and no, i dont mean pots)

    What exactly is SSR?
    Spell Storing Ring

Which is actually a misnomer, because it's proper name is the Ring of Spell Storing

It has 3 charges, and gives you 25 SP back on each charge for a total of 75SP. Not spectacular in itself, but can enable someone to cast a few spells in a tight situation.

The Epic version however is spectacular. It acts like 3 SP pots and can give you 315-1800SP

To answer the OP's question: 2000. That is a nice round number you can attain, people will respect it, and it will work just fine in any raid or quest, even on EE.

You'll want to try to get some of the more basic items to do this right away, archmagi or better item, wis +6 or better, +3 Wis tome (easily attainable now) and all your level ups and enhancements in Wis.

Things you'll want to help out later: GS con op with extra spell points (some named items have these now, you can look into "Elemental Spell Power" items for this), a Torc, a Bauble, a Twisted Talisman AND an epic twisted Talisman, make sure you take the Korthos necklace that gives SP too, if not... TRing is the only way to get it.

Finally, make sure your radiant servant PrE is enhanced as much as possible, that saves insane amounts of SP, with the best extra turn items, extra turn enhancements, and Devotion Power/Lore items.

So much crazy effort to max the spell points, but not wearing a large guild augment slot item.

It is EASILY possible. A little 10% spell point ability in exalted angel solves that for ya.

You guys should probably check the date of the post you're refuting.
I imagine Impaqt knows full well that you can go past 3k SP on a cleric NOW. He also knew full well that it was impossible THEN.
