    Exclamation Top 10 MISSING MONSTERS!

What monsters are noticeably missing from the game and would improve our D&D experience here at DDO?

    1. Goblins: Where is this low level dungeon fodder anyways?
    2. Medusa: Classic monster from Greek myths which appears in two recent films!
    3. Green Slime: Do you recall what happens to a character if you don't get it off?
    4. Lycanthropes: The classic werewolf would be a fun addition.
    5. Lurkers Above: Surprise to all you characters who did not look up first when entering a room!
    6. Mimic: Another surprise via a chest!
    7. Owlbear: First page of Keep on the Borderlands ...I think. This crazy amagram of a beast screams classic D&D to me.
    8. Harpies: Dangerous to unprepared adventurers. There songs have lead many a charater to their deaths.
    9. Hydra: If you know this mythological monster, you know this dragon is only for the EPIC!
    10. Mongrol Men: Fan favorite of mine. I love these guys...the mutants/morlocks of D&D. The mismatched Isle of Dr. Moreau looks would create hours of fun for devs and animators.

What monsters would you like to see?

By the Eberron "fluff" the silver flame pretty much hunted out the Lycanthropes.

I'd be up for some inclusion of Daelkyr and their included critters. Having some Dolgrim running around underfoot in some low level quests would be interesting.

And what is with all the creatures being normal? Give us a mix, use that Horrid template and cook up some true monstrosities.

Okay so we have some Inspired Quarter, and Dreaming Dark... but no true Empty Vessels?

There are lycanthropes in Lamannia, should we ever visit.

And I agree, we need some more and better done (ie: challenging) Inspired and Quori.

That quote above in particular smacks of some excellent story-telling. A small contingent of lycantharopes escapes the Silver Flames notice for centuries, only to have one of their own betray them and begin to amass an army of "True Believers" ie "turned-lycantharopes" and former non-lycs turned lyc.

And you, the adventurers, are caught between serving the Silver Flame, serving the "good" lycantharopes, and destroying the evil resistance of the "True Believers."

I'd like to see some were-tigers, were-kitties, were-wolves and the Lawful Good were-bear paladin (ironically, serving The Silver Flame).

    Oh yeah, Monsters:

    Carrion Crawler
    Goblins
    Pixies/Sprites/Brownies
    Centaurs
    Hippogriffs
    Griffins
    Basilisk
    Chimeras
    Death Knights
    Banshees

Well that should make a more intriguing story to bring them back.......

Phantom Fungus (we need more uses for glitterdust, see invisibility, and true seeing!)
Astral Hunter (Not many quests involve being stalked, would be a nice low or mid level quest foe)
    Shadesteel Golem
    Clockwork Horrors
Linnorm, any of the three types (would make GREAT endbosses for level 20's to face off against)
Spell Weaver (capable of casting multiple spells at once, these guys would reinforce targeting casters first)

if please make it so that any 2% of the chests in the game except chests with fixed rare loots can be a mimic by random.

Nothing more boring than the same chest in the same quest over and over being a mimic, only a suprise the very first time.

    in no particular order:

Stirges~! swarms of blood drinking little lowbie pests and classic D&D where I'm from
    Umber Hulks
    Displacer Beasts
    Lurkers Above
    Rot Grub (mmm, gross!)
The Tarrasque (might be Forgotten Realms specific, but why not?)
    Goblins
    Gnomes
Fay, Faeries, Faerie Dragons, anything sylvan at all?
    Spears
(no, you read that right, this is a weapon not a monster - not only very D&D but also very ENTIRE HISTORY OF WARFARE AND WEAPONRY! How can they NOT have added this weapon like 4 years ago? This weapon and its variants have existed probably longer than our use of fire...so why can't we use them? Why are there no 2h piercing weapons at all?)

edited to add Rot Grub to the list, probably more as a debuff than a mob you could target though

I would like to think after the last update and new quests this was the start of more items like this for future quests!! The key is to have the devs add a few more

    Lightbulb Good idea

Great idea on the new monsters. I have an existing thread with many suggestions posted at the link below. I suggest we merge the two threads and hopefully will get more attention from the devs.

Here is the link to my current thread....please post and we can summarize both threads in one. I already have many of those mentioned in this thread on my suggested new monster list. I am not trying to hijak your thread and please don't take it that way bu twould rather work together for the improvement of the game.

I think summarizing both our threads in one would be nice. Please send me a PM if you like Mr_Ed7. Cheers.
