    Ah how does that work? Wraith form gives 20 move silently, and invis counts as 20 hide?

    I never made a stealther, curious how that all works.

    Yes. Technically invis doesnt boost your hide, but decreases their spot by 20 if they dont have see invis. The significance of that difference is so that it stacks with camouflage.

    Cool Pale Master

    Maybe I don't know the elusive "end game," I never have with MMO's. Why do people orient their whole game on how they will do in the last two levels? What about the time in between?

    Either I am the most ignorant player out there or I actually think Pale Master is pretty good, and original at that. I am a lvl 14 Wizard (although, I guess not close enough to the dreaded "end game") and have Pale Master II. I enjoy the extra hit points, clerics are always surprised. I enjoy having my finger of death hitting almost all the time. It is at present a 33 fort save to resist. I have hit CR 19's with it and *poof.* I cast my blackbone mage and he casts maximized firewalls, fireballs, and hold monsters, scorching rays, magic missile and who knows what else. He is my most efficient use of spell points, by far. Heck, even my blackbone archer and knight can hold their own.

    I enter Lich form when I don't want clerics to worry about me. I am immune to just about everything and self heal with lesser death aura and greater death aura. I never worry about petty archers, I overcome their damage, healing about 25 points a round for 3 minutes or so. I cast infinite necrotic bolts because I heal myself the damage. When I am not in Lich form, I do the same thing and hang around the Radiant Servant clerics who ooze healing.


    Maybe I am an idiot and just don't play a wizard like I should for the ....end game..., but I love playing it right now. I find if you want a caster to just drop fire walls, play a sorcerer. If you want a little diversity, get a Wizard. If you want to see unique, play a Wizard Pale master with red, glowing eyes, and mist flowing off of you. Put your ice shield on, just to finish out the look. The have some fun and stop worrying about the end game, you can respec your enhancements anyway. Sheesh!

    Speaking of pale masters you necro'd this thread from about 6 months ago.

    Pale master has since under gone a buff and is no longer looked down upon like it was before update 5.

    There were no negitive damage spells(unless you count chill touch), you couldn't heal with necrotic touch, and they added necrotic bolt. And probably some other things I am forgetting.

    That said, there are still numerous bugs associated with the PRE. They should be getting addressed in U7, but time will tell.
