Talking Fellowship of the Green Hat Event

To celibrate the founding of the Guild and St. Patrick's Day, the Guild is giving away a 10,000GP. The gold goes to the first person to locate the Guild’s founder Fayginn ingame and gives him the correct answer to a St. Patty’s Day question, between the hours of 8:00PM EST to 10:00PM EST on March 17th.

Clue: Look for the Halfling wearing the big Green Hat and good hunting!

Sorry to revise the prize...I missed 'Bound to Account' in Items description...so instead of canceling the whole thing, I replaced the hat with gold.

I just realized the the +1 Lucky Green Hats are 'Bound to Account' items and can't be sent to another player's account. So unfortunately the prize must be changed 10,000 gp instead. Sorry about that mix up.

Well, I'm glad I discovered my error before the 17th, 10,000gp in coins is not a bad prize for lower level characters. Of course, I intend to make anyone who decide to take my challenge work for the prize. And...a pot of gold could buy alot of guiness

I am REALLY REALLY not trying to be rude with what I am about to say but....

I do not think that 10,000 gp is a very good prize.
That is only about 1000 plat. I am still a newbie and i have about 50,000 pp and I am about level 13. It just doesnt seem rewarding to me.

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth...but if you want the game to be played by a lot of people, and you are only awarding the prize to only one person, you should consider upping the reward.

Not trying to be mean...just thought I would give you some constructive criticism.

Here is hoping I do not get neg rep for this.

Unfortunately, 10,000gp (1,000pp) is all I can afford on this server, Fayginn is only 6th Level and only has 26,000 gold total at the moment. I know that to some folks, 10,000 is pocket change, and I don't expect to draw any of the high levels to play. But hopefully I can get a few low levels interested in my little game of hide and seek and maybe it can grow into something bigger next year with a more substantial prize.

Donations for doing this next year are aways welcome

DM, I will match your 1000plat, with a donation from my characters. PM the name of your ingame character that will be giving it away, or send me an ingame mail to my main, Cb. That will bring up the total.

Beware. Sometimes you get to the end of the rainbow, only to find out that the leperchauns have booby-trapped the pot of gold.

Here's a rundown of the Rules of the Event:

Fayginn will start the event at 8:00 PM EST. He will be in one of the following public areas: Harbor, House D., House J., House P., House K and the Marketplace.
He may move anytime during the 2 hours or just stay put, depending on if he thinks he can sneak to another spot successfully. Taunting Fayginn over the general chat may possibly force him to come out in the open and move around more. When you spot him send him a invite so he can accept and he will ask you a St Patrick's Day question (there are 3 he can pick from). Answer it correctly and he will give you his gold. The Event ends at 10:00 PM EST

Good Luck...Good Hunting and Happy St. Patrick's Day

I'd like to thank all the donators to the event first of all...you all were veeerrry generous. The prize is now 131,981 PP! this amount will be given to the first perso n to locate Fayginn ingame, and answer the St. Patrick's day question correctly.

Good luck...good hunting, and Happy St.Patrick's Day!

The winner of the 1st Annual St Patrick Day Fellowship of the Green Hat Halfling Hunt is Suderm, a player who just started playing only a month ago. He answered correctly the question (Did St. Patrick die on or was born on March 17th?) and received his prize of 131,ooo+ plat. He appeared to be very pleased.

A special 'thank you' goes out to Rosewood, Zaturnia, and Cb...who donated most of the prize money.

    See you all next year.

I'm glad your event was a success, and that you didn't let people get you down.

Hope to see a post from you next year. Greetings from Ghallanda.
