    Default TOD Cleric set advise

So are there any Clerics out there using the TOD cleric sets? I have the Amora's set, but do not see any benefit in using it over what I have now.

It seems to me it would be better to have the Lorriks shield set and just use the belt's clickies for Adore VIII along with the Thelis Ring from hound, I don’t really gain anything here.

If I do use the Amora's set, I'll also need the Shintao's cord to make up for the Concentration loss from my belt of Thoughtful Remembrance.

Unless the Amora set upgrade really offers more, I dont see the benefit.

Any thoughs on this would be appreciated.

I've decided to not use any of the "cleric" sets.

I'll use unmatched items instead where they are useful. For example, my cleric will use the +6 con/gfl belt (defenders). For ring crafting, I'm going for +6 str, exceptional +1 con and will craft +2 exceptional wisdom (I have +1 exceptional WIS on my DT armor to get the full +3).

my cleric uses the frenzied beserker set...

I'd look into the occult slayer set if you're a healer/offensive caster.

The answer is pretty much "no".

What set you'll use depends on your combat style, feats, and other gear. I basically recommend:
    1. Shintao set if you use melee but don't have Torc.
    2. Frenized Berserker if you use melee (but beware: your teammates will resent it).
    3. Warchanter if you're more a spellcaster and have Maximize (which is a good feat to get)

I had a feeling I was not the only one not using the sets, but then after a TOD run, I got heat for trying to roll on a ring not in the cleric set. That made me think that maybe there was a max set combo out there that I was somehow missing.

Glad others seem to agree, but Im still looking to see if anyone is using the sets dedicated for the Cleric. (Radiant Servant or Silver Flame set)

In the next patch, the Superior Ardor IX clickies on those belts will become valuable once they're buffed to +75%, but you don't need the actual set to use that benefit.

My offensive caster use Shintao + Ravager set, which I believe was the best combination when you want to melee as a cleric:

Both of them provide respectable damage output, use different set item slot (belt + necklace, when I dont need using torc like melee behind some raid boss)

My personal opinion about other set:

Frenized Berserker -> ok if you didn't have ravager set, more useful against construct (hint: portal) and undead (however most undead you fighting at end game doesn't really matter), otherwise it's much weaker than Ravager for cleric who want to melee.

Archmage -> until they fix the archmage stack issue with other arcane lore, then meh.

Warchanter -> not a bad idea but you lost both necklace and ring slot (although it give base +6 cha, so maybe not a bad idea if you do use cha to boost your turn charge). However if you already have torc and Gloves of the Glacier, you might as well just skip it.

Occult Slayer -> was not a bad idea if you see most of the set bonus suck and don't plan on melee even a little bit, at least it give you +2 save on both type

Warpriest -> pretty much meh if you don't use turn. The +2 exceptional to-hit is nice to have but Shintao set pretty much beat it with additional +2 exceptional damage roll.

They already are useful for slot consolidation - one inventory slot (that you don't even need to keep equipped) covers all the +Healing% you need.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Most quests involve combat for more than 9 minutes per shrine.

The motivation to go with FB over Ravager is the +30 hp, which can matter because for the Cleric to die in melee is worse than if other characters did.

If you mean GFL on the belt.. well, it's hardly a big advantage consider how easily you can get your GFL on other slot, or even got a SFL. Since it's a function which can be duplicate with other item, I would not say it's a big deal (and within the same logic, if you can't fit arrowhead nor bloodstone on your trinket slot, then the +2 seeker on Ravager set could use for add up some tiny bit of additional damage)
