Cleric does not need any spectacular gear to solo heal Shroud (although Mysterious Bauble and epic Ring of Spellstoring would certainly help). All you need is a good group with no squishies and solid DPS ==> Solo-healing PUGs is a gamble.

I'll download Xfire and give it a shot when I get off timer. But if you had 2 fully heal specced clerics with around 2000 SP each and it was taxing then clericing isn't your problem. When I have the luxury of another cleric in the Shroud I throw on my holy/pg and met/pg and jump in with the melee, leaving quicken on and throwing a spot mass from time to time for the healing res WF's. Remember, in most good groups, one cleric is more than enough. You go in with 10 high DPS builds, a caster and cleric that all know what they are doing, the Shroud turns into a fun run. Over time you'll know the groups to run with and the ones to avoid.
There is no lag. Just because you had none before and can't play now doesn't mean the server move had anything to do with it.
Yep, agree 100%.
If you use a strategy that's designed for people that massively outgear the Shroud (the all-in bum rush with mass cures) then you'll run out of SP fast in a weak group.
If you use a different strategy (one hero with Heal scrolls, or six heroes with Mass Heal) you can soloheal it easily. I've solohealed Hard with the six heroes approach and just casting (quickened, empowered) Mass Heal on every cooldown.
But if you go for mass cure spells with 8-10 melees in the middle, expect to use mana pots unless you are extremely well geared.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
This sounds like the usual pugs I enter. I'll pug with my Cleric when I miss the guild runs to keep the farming up but I prefer not to. I'm not a fan of having my groupmates kick the bucket but healing might not be the core problem.
I like your 6-man hero method with spam mass heals. And I use wand / scroll mastery 3, not 4 so I'll look into that.

I will definitely try all these tactics the next time I'm Shroud-ready (Just reincarnated, but already up to level 9!)
I've tried umpteen times for the Torc- would like to get it this reincarantion, and I need the bauble, although I do have Lorrik's Neckie.
I think a lot of the problem was with sub-par DPS and a bunch of ppl not knowing when to step back and chug a pot if need be.
Concerning metamagics, what are your thoughts? I usually ran with Maximize, Empower and Quicken on *for quests only* at Levels 17-20 because my SP pool allowed me to do so. Shroud healing, I ran with quicken on as well as Empower- couldn't "afford" running all three- I usually keep quicken on for mass Heal during quests, but it may not be necessary while spamming mass cures in Shroud, as mass Cures fire off a lot faster.
BTW, the few times I made it to Shroud 5 were Pugs, which may have been the mistake to begin with.

Done it on Kisska at lvl 16 took a ton of scrolls and about 3 major pots and yeah I left the dead dead I picked one main guy to heal and a secondary target was a very near thing one more second or two and it would have been a wipe.
Beware the Sleepeater
My recommendations change a little depending upon your gear setup.
I'm assuming you have (at least a temporary source of) Superior Devotion 8 (Amara's Belt is easily obtained for this purpose).
If using the standard 'bum rush' DPS zerg approach:
Quicken off. (Stay out of blades, zoom camera out of avoid them).
Empower Healing on if available. If it is available, turn all other metamagics off (you'll need to cast more spells this way)
Maximize Spell on if Empower Healing isn't available.
Heal scroll in one hand, whatever in the other.
Changes for Hard: None
Elite: Use all metamagics except Quicken (you need the burst healing output more)
MCCW is your most efficient spell here (MCMW if you have only Sup Pot 6 and no Sup Dev 8 or Sup Ardor 8).
If using the '6 heroes' approach:
Quicken on.
Maximize on (this is in case you need to fire an urgent MCCW).
Empower Healing off.
Heal scroll in hand, whatever in the other. Use Superior Ardor 8.
Changes for hard: Consider turning on Empower Healing.
Changes for elite: Turn on Empower Healing. You may need a second cleric casting Mass Heal 3-4 seconds after you do each time.
I don't have a zerging problem.
