I picture playing this as mostly a heal bot but sword capable. I know I did not choose any spells in the builder but I am pretty sure I would take all heal and buff spells.

    What do you think?

Start with this build and customize it to your own taste. You'll enjoy the toon more if you don't limit yourself to healing.

The evoker is a little specialized but it's a great place to start. No matter what you should absolutely 100% aim for a build that can heal and either melee or cast offensively effectively. Melee builds take a little more work and lose more healing effectiveness, caster builds really give up nothing except for some piddly spell points. So with that in mind...

Charisma is almost a dump stat. You want enough to be able to cast your level 9 spells, and that's it. Personally I would aim to be able to cast naked, so that means 12-14, but if you dont mind being bound to a cha item you can actually go even lower. The extra spell points are so negligible they aren't even worth considering.

Mental toughnesses are a waste of a feat. It's an extra 110 sp on a build that is going to have 2500+.

Heavy armor proficiency will be useless on this build. By the time you get it, you will have about two levels before everything will be hitting you almost automatically anyhow.

Force of personality: see my comment on charisma. also, FvS have high will saves and self buffs against the most common will save spells.

Weapon focus is always useless, but especially so on a build that can't fight effectively. Which you can't with a medium strength, no PA, and no THF or TWF feats,

There are three main paths that people take, caster, THF and TWF.

    Basic concepts: mandatory features are

Caster: Max wisdom, quicken spell, empower spell, and probably maximize and extend.

THF: Lord of blades, WF, max str, power attack and at least some of the THF feats.

TWF: high enough dex for TWF feats (usually 15-16), good strength, TWF feats.

not sure if you want the THF feats even for a WF LotB build. I'm hearing a lot mor epeople saying Maximize/quicken are too useful in raids even for a melee FvS to give up and you can add IC+PA for melee which leaves room for 3 more which you'd prob want toughness and extend plus one more.

IMO you want at least the first so you can take the first WF two handed enhancement. You should still have room in your build. IC is optional depending on gear.

I decided to go with Melkor's build and skipped the THF line of feats since they don't really shine unless you can pick up all 3 feats. Mel doesn't have IC because he swapped it once he got Min II weapon. He reported an almost imperceptable loss of melee dps but was able to pick up the following feats with gave him more raiding benefits:

    quicken
    emp
    emp heal
    max
    extend
    toughness
    PA

I went more of a highly soloable build that also teams very well just for levelling:

    adm body
    extend
    toughness
    quicken
    IC: slashing
    max
    PA

I find it too hard to be convinced that THF provides a substantial dps gain to merit swapping any of those out. Perhaps once I eventually get a Mineral II weapon I can drop IC for THF but from everything I've read so far IC is a better gain than just taking the first THF feat even with WF enhancements. I'm at the point now where "burst" weapons are becoming more available as well...

Adm body is pretty swappable later, even if it is godmode at low level. And extend is optional, but useful. And IC is gear dependent, if you have the min II, then you don't need it, otherwise it's a very big boost to dps.

No matter what though, at minimum there is room for one once you swap out ad body.

Can a drow TWF'ing with rapiers do worthwile damage at high levels? Say, starting with strength 16 and boosting it every time?

I converged on exactly the same feat selection. Currently L15 so just missing Toughness off that list.
Works pretty well, extended, maximised BB are still killers even with a relatively low Wis score.
