Yeah, my guess is that you got them from the Sharn Syndicate quests and they are bound to account. I've gotten several pairs from those quests. They sure have lowered the value of the Ring of Feathers!

I also believe the no min lvl boots are only in Sharn - I could be wrong but I have gotten them a few times from end rewards in that quest chain.

Wonderful. That's exactly where I got it from. So I'm no longer feeling as good about them as I was lol.

Is there any point to keep these? Right now I'm using +2 Dex boots (halfling rogue 8). I haven't had a need for featherfall yet, will I have a need for it in the future?

Yes, keep them. You'll need FF at a fair few places unless you have absurdly high Tumble (and even with Tumble, FF is useful in some places because it also makes you fall very slowly, on top of removing fall damage).

Since they're BtA you can also give them to a new alt when you find a higher level (and much less valuable) pair of FF boots (or a Mummified Bat) that you can use instead.

Another thing good about FF boots as opposed to rings is that they will never get eaten by rust monsters, which happened to me once and I needed to Feather Fall somewhere, that was a pain.

Just for reference, you can still get them from WW as well, but those are also bound.

Sharn items are great tidbits, but being B2A, are only good for passing down to your own alts. My chars dance to a silent happy hoppy tune all the way thru town when I nab a Proof/Poison item from there.

/Seconding the above - definitely keep them. Your future alts will thank you.

I just got a pair of no ML FF boots on Tangleroot end reward list.

Whilst the boots are fantastic they aren't difficult to get and I would put them around the same value as a +1 club. I sold one the other day to a vendor for about 250 gp.

Likely because the same global economics that our collapsed economies are based on has been transferred to the virtual world where a) they make about as much sense, b) the inflated prices for items aren't what they are actually worth, although it is unlikely that an overpriced pair of ff boots will cause a depression in Stormreach.

And to add to the data set - mine are bound from a Sharn quest, have no min level and I have also had them as a reward for WW.

LISTING for 2500k plat and SELLING for 2500k plat are two completely different things.

A vet who doesn't know that no-ML, BTA featherfall boots are dropping frequently in low level quests may pay that much for them but I doubt they'd sell. Then again, 25k gold is a trivial amount of money so maybe they are worth that.
