Ki Retention at 20 with capstone.

As we all know our ki gets reset every time we zone in somewhere back to what its base normally is. With the capstone, my +-0 max is right around 88 standing, but it always defaults back to my concentration value when I zone.

Why doesn't it go to the maximum 0 holding instead of resetting to the concentration value? (which is half of that of course)

because thats how it works
your set ki upon entry is your concentration no matter what the max is you can hold

With monk capstone, it seems you can keep double of your concentration. However, the ki regeneration will be up to exact number as your concentration. Anything in between your concentration and 2x concentration, it would not regen or decay.
Yeah, enter or leave the zone, ki is reset to your concentration.

I guess it's just that "dead zone" if you will that confuses me.

Oh well, I was just looking at it the wrong way.

In fact, with the capstone, you will enter the quest with your ki at your concentration score, and then generate 1 more ki because the normal regeneration at ki=concentration is 0 so the capstone boosts it to +1, at which point it becomes 0 (-1+1) again until you reach double your concentration.
