Default lvl 20, need advice on first GS

I hit 20, been reading here a lot for a few months. So far I have minos, napkin, and I got a ring of Thelis. My robe is just an elfcrafted. My Charisma is currently on cloak so I cannot wear napkin. For me, given Asp's guide of end game gear, what should my first GS be? I still use a fire lore and spell penetration offhand. I don't want to gimp myself. I was thinking GS dagger and putting Charisma on it but I would lose Lore and spell pen. I have only run shroud one time completely and a couple up to end then DD. Trying to work on DT robe but pug groups are **** so far and my guild is small. Just need some advice, I know my gear is **** for now. I like the SP on ring. GS goggles from Asp's list wouldn't stack with ring right? My SP is at 2700 right now. I need to drop MT for spell pen 2.

Greensteel SP do stack with ring. Its a great 1st item (if you have UMD, make it a +6 charisma skill SP item).

Try to avoid using your weapon slots for the charisma item (it is an OK option, but you'll have more end-game flexibility by avoiding it). The new Amarath area provides a better option. The ring crafting from ToD will let you get a +6 charisma ring and craft a +2 exception charisma on it (+8 charisma item). You can get a +1 exception charisma on your DT robes that will stack with this for +9 charisma.
INFERUS SUS Sorcs (Socky, Sockie, Socklin), Rogues (Sockpuppet, Sockum), Clerics (Sockington, Sockase), FVS (Sockle), Intim (Tubesocks), Bards (Sockdolenger, Sockish), Rangers (Sockin, Sockel), Wizzy (Sockut), Kensai (Sockt), Monk (Sockfist), Arty (Sockficer, Sockcraft)

Even if it is detrimental or counterproductive to your current gear, you should always craft what you want to have as your final gear setup. Since you already know that you want Blue Dragonscale, then I would craft the Charisma +9 weapon even though it will cause a short-term loss on your spell criticals.

If an item is worth cafting, it is worth crafting correctly!

The nerfing will continue until morale improves!
