replaceable low level spells?

I'm wondering what spells in the level 1-5 range could be considered to be made obsolete by higher level spells. For example I'm looking to replace:

- Prayer once I get Recitation
- Holy Smite once I get Blade Barrier
- Command by Greater Command

Also I'm looking at what other spells are capable of removing negative levels besides restoration. (heal?)

I think heal only removes stat damage, not neg levels. I'm not sure though.

Heal does not remove negative levels.

Blade Barrier does not make Holy Smite obsolete. Yes, BB does a TON more damage, but I still use Holy Smite all the time...it blinds (and the blindness bypasses spell resistance), it casts like 8 times faster, and it's not centered on you. All nice things.

Recitation does not obsolete Prayer. Prayer is a small debuff for one, and for two it raises damage, which Recitation does not.

Greater Command does indeed make regular Command pointless, however.

of course all mass spells make the previous version obsolete, like shield of faith, death ward, spell resistance, protection from energy and so on
