Bastard Swords?

OK, I guess FS can get Bastard sword, but not at level 1 ... Anyone have any feedback on this? Would it totally gimp me to take the BS feat? I have a ton of awesome BS I would love to use if possible. Any feedback would be welcome!

Given the inherent bonuses that FvS get with their Deity specific weaponry, I don't particularly see what the advantages would be in using bastard swords. Secondly you don't have proficiency with them normally, and even after the Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Bastard Sword) Feat, I'm not sure if you'd would still be or not since in PnP at least that feat only makes an exotic into a martial weapon.
Anyways, long story short, you can use them if you desire, but it seems less than optimal for a pure FvS. If you were to dip into Fighter or some other martial class, then its a different ball game. But still...

Actually in DnD, bastard sword is 2hander martial weapon and can take exotic weapon proficiency to use in 1 hand with no penalty. Taking an exotic weapon feat never changes weapon to martial, it just lets you use without penalty.
