    Default Ultimate WF Wizard Build

    Take a look at this monster. He's a Pure Wizard maximizing INT and CON. He was a sorcerer in a previous life, granting him access to the sorcerer Past Life feats.

    Highlights at level 20:
    Note: all these highlights are given __without any items_ added in
    30 INT (+10 to spell DCs)
    1650 spell points
    24 CON (+6 hp per level)
    302 hit points
    No saves below 11
    +6 to spell pen checks beyond caster level
    +2 to necromancy spell DCs
    +1 to evocation spell DCs
    Quicken and 30 concentration (to save mana on most occasions)
    Uber self-healing and wf party healing
    NO +3 or +4 tomes used

    What feedback do you have? I am about to begin the reincarnation process now. I want to catch any oversights before I reincarnate this toon.

    Congrats. You've created a pretty standard Min/Maxxed WF Wizard.

    Although I prefer 18CON and spread those 6 points around a bit. Mostly STR so I can melee through the first few levels.

    EDIT: Guess I should of looked at the Feats a little Closer...

    More like a nice Template for a Pale Master than an overall Wizard. Insightful Reflexes? Why Bother? You wont have evasion and you Reflex save will still be mediocure at best.

    You might want to take Empower sooner. It + maximize makes your past life ****** awesome

    Dunno if potency works for sorc's, but it definitely does on the wizard one. Combining the three will make your low levels even more of a cakewalk than they normally are.

    AS long as you buy mana pots from the DDO Store I guess....

    The amount of Spell Points a wizard sees at low levels is too low to be using both Empower and Maximize.

    I agree. This is why I held off Empower until later. I figure I won't be using both Emp and Maximize unless I am spamming a boss. I just won't have enough sp.

    Does the Sorc past life add anything to this "standard min/max" wizard?

    Metamagic can be used with my past life for no SP cost, as well as several (all?) of the other feats which actively cast spells. Of course, you have to remember to turn them off before blasting your other nukes too

    On another note: If you are ever having SP problems there's usually better tactics you can do. I've drank less than 20 mana pots getting 3 arcanes to max level, and those have mostly been to cure feeblemind. For example, when using a low level AoE spell like burning hands, run around and get all the monsters in a bunch. Then, turn around & cast it incinerating them all in one big boom. Single monsters are easily taken out with ranged, eternal wand or bopping them in the head with a stick instead of blowing SP at low levels.
