Default Might be an odd question but

I'm finding that every time I run thru a quest alot of times when i get back all of my stuff it pretty banged up so I repair it and then I'm broke again... I can't seem to get out of this cycle and really want to save up for better weapons and stuff. any advice out there for what I can do cause I'm tired of always having to give most everything I earn if not more to fix all my stuff almost every quest.

are you soloing a lot? Best way to avoid this is to not get hit, having others in the party for the NPC's to pick on will giver your gear a break, but it doesn't get cheaper the more expensive your gear the more expensive the repair bill gets. Not dying also will mitigate this damage, though death penalty damage does not generate permanent damage it does still cost a bit to repair.

I normaly either solo or play with a cleric buddy of mine. And isn't death penalty damage timed or does it last till it's repaired cause we do die alot lol

    Death has two results:
    1. You gain a 1 minute debuff "negative level" effect. This reduces your hit points, attack, saves. Multiple death penalties stack, and you must wait 1 minute for each of them to go away. Waiting, shrining, or having a paladin use unyielding sovereignty rids the effect automatically.

    2. Your equipment all takes damage. This damage is akin to regular damage, and must be repaired. There is a small change that this damage, like any damage, might result in a non-bound item taking permanent damage. The more permanent damage an item has, the more likely it is to take permanent damage upon repair.

Once you get to about level 6, you'll start making more money, until the time you get a few characters to level 20, you'll have millions upon millions of gold.

Actually damage due to death does not result in permanent damage. That was a big sticking point when this system was first introduced.

Every thing else sounds good though. As you get better and run higher level quests you should make a lot more money. I'd also suggest grouping a bit because you may learn a few tricks and generally, the more players, the easier the quest. This is especially true on Hard or Elite.

Fortification items (or enhancements at lower levels) will help a lot with repair bills, by reducing the damage your gear takes.
