Default Are there oo good guilds on Argonnessen Server besides KA?

Don't get me wrong the Korthos Army, which is reminiscent of imperial storm troopers in that there all over the place all the time, is not a bad guild but it's so big (or appears to be) that I can't imagine how they operate.

Here's my deal, I am leader of a guild that is not doing so well land I want to disband. about 10-15 of the other players want to follow me to a new guild but we want a guild that is not made of fail. I was never a good choice for Guild leader as I lack the experience in DDO (though not in MMOs in general) to properly lead a guild; officer maybe, leader no.

I only became guild leader after my predecessor bailed on us and left me as successor, when he quit the guild I got auto promoted to leader and inherited a poorly organized small guild of people in a dozen different time zones (and our guild name zuckz monkey chode), most of us are on or near U.S. pacific time zone. So if there are any west cost guilds that are looking to expand and add a good chunk of non noobs to its ranks post here.

Why not strike out on your own....find a good guild and then slowly bring your core members...
You really don't wanna go from semi-ddo-noob guild to an Uber guild full of End gamers.
You will feel left out. IMHO

very good point, which is why I am not looking for an uber guild just one that is established enough to teach my guys more than I can and friendly enough to want to.

First, there are truly no other good guilds than Korthos Army. Those guys are uber. I tried to join them, but was denied.

Second, if you want to join another guild, you can't beat pugging. Joining a group where 3 people are in the same guild will tell you much about how well they work, and whether or not you want to join them. If they seem like people you want to play with, just ask them to join.

Trying to join a guild off the forums is a bad idea IMO.

Ok sounds like good advice, got a noob question though: what does PUG mean?

You don't need experience in a game to make a good leader. Leadership is a trait totally seperate from any game mechanic. In fact, in my experience, the best leaders make some of the worst players... I'm a good example of that I'm a lowbie compared to most of my members. I spend a lion's share of my time running the guild, rather than playing the game.

PUG stands for "Pick-Up Group". PUGs are made up of mostly random people who met through the LFG/LFM system, usually they don't know each other. This is how you meet new people, but also where you find alot of a**holes or idiots. They're the opposite of a guild group, where everyone knows and trusts each other.

You guys seem like a pretty good group, your active and you have enough members to have a couple of thousand posts so I'll check you guys out. I would like to be an officer though for three reasons. 1. I am bringing quite a few people with me and I would like to retain some kind of a leadership roll over them as they tend to look to me for that anyway and the fact that they do that should be testament to my leadership ability, 2. I am already taking a demotion I just don't want to go all the way to the bottom, and 3. It will make it allot easier for me to transfer people over from my guild to yours. Let me know.
