    Default Dual Kamas or Barehanded?

I'm gonna come right out and say, I like killing stuff.

    A lot.

Now, in my plan for my monk (which aims for GM in Wind and Water, being mostly DEX-based [Water is for better saves when needed]) I was originally planning on just going barehanded the whole time.

But I was also wondering if it would be better to use dual kamas and shoot for GTWF.

(If TWF affects unarmed, that'd be awesome to know too).

    Thank you.

Get GTWF and use handwraps whenever possible you can find a variety of many nice ones, and later if you get the TOD you can get rings that will enhance your unarmed damage. Yes TWF works with unarmed.

When I duel someone I like to dual wield. with my rouge wearing rogue.

It is a good idea to keep a set of kamas for things like zombies that need slashing to beat the DR.

Not only does GTWF work with unarmed attacks, but you don't suffer the -2 penalty when doing so, and you apply your full Str bonus to damage on your off-hand. Couple this with the large die you end up with on your unarmed attacks, and you can see why this would be a better option DPS-wise.

The nice thing, though, is that there's nothing stopping you from having both! Grab some kamas that have abilities that you can't get on handwraps, such as: Vorpal or (Weakening of) Enfeebling. And keep a set around to deal with monsters that have DR/slashing.

Remember though, things that specifically require using two weapons, such as TWD, do not work with handwraps.

It is an enhancement line from the Ranger class.

A prestige enhancement line for the Ranger class that improves TWF abilities (10% TWF attack speed, some AC, and an extra attack in your TWF attack chain over the 3 levels of the enhancement from 6-18).

It likely wouldn't come up here, but it's always good to make sure all the facts are known--there are people who splashed 6 Ranger on a handwraps monk only to discover that they weren't gaining the attack speed increase. Not a complete waste, as switching focus to kamas is easy enough, but annoying nonetheless.
