Default Wis on a pure sorc

What do I need it for?
Most posts I've seen stating what they think are good starting stats say 10 or 12 wis. Why not just dump it and put the points on con and int?

I'm thinking of maybe creating a sorc(I have a lvl 14 28 point sorc but I might make a 32 point now) with the stats:
    Str 8
    Dex 8
    Con 16
    Int 14
    Wis 8
    Cha 18

Any good reason to take less int and more Wis?

As with most things, it's debatable. Firstly, do you plan to take FoP as a feat? if so, there is no argument that
wis is a dump stat. However, sorcs are feat starved as it is, you might not want to use a feat here. It also depends
on how much soloing you plan to do - being held/greater commanded sucks.

My latest 32 point sorc (WF) is starting with 10 wis. I'll probably do existential stalemate goggles for +6wis and
hopefully land a tome (+2). Should give me a base will save of 16 at L20 and free up a feat from FoP.

    On a sorc:
Wis only gives you will saves...
    • your will save will be crappy anyway, don't waste your points.

Int only gives you skill points, only take as much as you need.
    • You can make-do with 8 int, which allows you to only max concentration
    • Alternatively, do 10 int so you can max Conc and UMD

Don't use a feat for Force of Personality - it is very nice, but a sorc would be better off with one more caster-feat (like another mental toughness, or meta-magic)

What are you talking about, casters get the highest possible will save progression of all the classes!

Thanks for the input. Now I just need to decide wheter it's worth restarting just to get 2 extra stats..
And to decide between taking a Drow or human.
Human can take +1charisma from enhancement and drow can not right?
So the difference endgame is 1 charisma?

Most of this advice is bad. Sorc 20 has a base will save of 12, not crappy. The question is whether you
can boost it enough (at least mid 20's) without taking FOP. Any sorc who takes any mental toughness feat
should automatically re-roll ;-). For non-human, 10 int is minimum, you should boost conc and umd.
