Good players not only know what they can do, they know what they can't do.

what you say is right too but let me add on more to my post

when you get all the feats you need and load up on toughness is good. however, if one is sacrificing some important feats for added hp ie quicken for toughness, IC for toughness (unless only using min2s), etc, then this is really bad

as for builds, good players generally build better toons than bad players. the reason is they know what works, what not. knowledge of the game is an indication of experience and ability

    A good player will....

    1) Know the quest and make pitfalls known to new players
1a) If they don't know the quest, they make sure to get someone who does and then lets that person lead the run

    2) Proceed in the most efficient route to the end, completing only optionals that are worthwhile
2a) Will conform to whatever constraints were provided in the group listing- IE: doesn't zerg in no zergs, or properly zergs in speedruns

    3) Know and use your characters abilities to the maximum effect

    4) Absolutely know the weaknesses - it should never be a 'good' player who costs the group XP from stupidity.

    5) Confer any relevant information to the group before beginning (Hey guys, i may need 5 mins of afk about 15 mins in- cool? Hey guys, i haven't gotten updated rogue equipment so i'm not 100% on the traps in elite. etc)

    6) Carry baddies in most situations.

    Nah, that's a mediocre player.

The really good players have the game completed before they're finished rolling their character.

The player behind my characters do seem to misbehave, but I assure you unlike a three-year old.

You're not a good player if you can't figure out a quest on your own.

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

Good players think about the team....

When I'm running through the pools on my cleric in the Shroud Part 5, and the bard runs over to me, and throws haste on me... Or when his song is about to run out, and he's paying attention and refreshes it... That's when I think to myself "That guy is a good player".

As long as they don't tell me how to play or build my character, I usually don't have a problem with them.
