trade plat for store points

I can pretty much guarantee that this will not happen. Why would they give you an avenue that allows skipping using real money for in-game content?

Try being realistic; Turbine would shoot themselves in the foot if they did this and DDO would wither and die from lack of funding.

this would not work with this business model as it would prevent turbine from earning any revenues or atleast reduce them greatly.

being a VIP, i would like to get anything ingame. i didn't think about what it would do with the free players.. so a simple thing of vip only items. im sure you get what im talking about

Even if it was 1TP = 1000PP I could pretty much buy everything in the store with one character's plat

Then next month do the same when I make the same cash from selling all the **** loot we get

You are new...

Wait until you are level 10+ and start running through some of that content. In a night you can easily make 50K Plat, note, Plat not Gold so 500,000 Gold. Now, the smart thing to do if Turbine let you use that on Points would be to buy a +1 Loot potion and start farming certain quests for items. You should make back the potion's cost quickly and then it is pure profit which could be put into more Turbine Points and more potions which turns into and endless loop of... not needing to pay real money for Turbine Points. Bad idea.

For all the newer players out there... trust me, cash is easier to get in this game than any other MMO I have played.

I agree. Once you start to get up in levels...then have more than one character higher in levels... you have a nearly endless supply of PLAT not gold. You will start saying 30k for X and everyone will know you said PLAT!

Not for me that was swg was worth billions there, here I am lucky to have half a million plat on my best character the loot just doesnt fall for me but I do know it does for many many ohter.s

No thank you.

Rez Cakes you can use on yourself or a Fighter could use without UMD should be rare. As it is there are a dozen ways to Rez someone. Christmas is coming, which means the Jester and Coins, and Cookies and Cakes! If I could buy them with Plat i'd never worry about dying again in the game. There would be no such thing as a "party wipe".

Theoretically Turbine could introduce a program similar to one supported by EVE. Player could have an in game option to buy turbine point cards then trade them to other players for plat. That way Turbine still gets money and player can still get TPs for plat.

I expect though that this will not be a popular idea for Vets. I have no clue about the new guys, but for see flamage from vets over this proposal.
