Question How's the Active Combat System?

Does the active combat system get boring and/or annoying after a while OR does it keep you entertained because it envolves quite a bit of skill.

    P.S
Doesn't it get boring going to dungeons for most of your quests, not outdoors? Oh, and can you hire henchmen or anything like them to help out on quests?

The combat system is what keeps DDO ticking. It's just like playing an fps, or street fighter, or whatever suits you most.

Only dungeons techincally, which means they are a closed space and separate instances, however some of them is designed to look and feel like wide open areas. It's just that in every game, nothing is really open ^^

Tough you may have a point that in DDO more instances are closed dungeons than in most other games, but it was never an issue for me.

Yes we have hirelings, they're "ok" on lower levels, gets quite weak and often obsolete on higher content because of the level of power the players and monsters possess.

For me the system is just right. You'll want to allow yourself some time to get used to it because it is very different from the WoW system.

As far as adventures that are indoor/outdoor go, its according to what you like. I like not having to run or (ride or fly) for 20 minutes to get somewhere and not having to fight my way from point A to point B.
