What are you going to build with your slots?

So, something i've been thinking about...

We have more slots coming in EU, well unlockable slots i should say. We are now able to build "to our hearts content" to quote someone, so what are we going to build?

Here's my conundrum..

I recently deleted toons to get down to the magic number ten, seven in the last round. I currently have four clerics, one sorc, three rgr/pally/rog/ftr/monk (take pick of your level splits and classes, but they all twf rgr types), one sword and board intim ftr, and a rogue mc that i'll prob kill off...

what am i gonna build? I've built them all, everything that i've ever thought of, i've built and re-rolled...most everything anyone else has thought of, i've built and re-rolled. I'd like to be able to build and hoard and build another...if it doesnt work for me, i dont hang onto it, i kill it and build another. (strangely, a question would have been then, would i have done it if i had more than enough slots to keep it?).

So, whats everyone else gonna build? Mebbe i can get some kind of inspiration and game plan from other folks. I'm the guy that spends days working a toon out on paper. Planning every bit of gear, every level along the way.

Im currently levelling a blasting WF sorc anf may (begrundginly) level up my lvl 5 mule cleric.

But in the pipe I am considering: Straight WF THF Barb. WF THF Warchanter. Straight Human TWF DPS Pally. Halfling AC build of some flavor.

That's my thought anyway!

good point, i suspect for me and others it'll be "at least five" of the new mystery class as we try to squeeze every drop out.

Well, the obvious choices for you are a barbarian and a bard... mayb a pure pally or pure monk...

I have:
two clerics (one is a battle-cleric, one is casting cleric with a monk splash)
Barbarian/fighter
Ranger/wizard
bard/rogue
wizard
paladin

After that, I'll try the new class (Favored Soul)... At that point I will have pretty much done every class... Maybe I'll try a pure ranged-based ranger at that point

At least 5 more halfling monks!! And then a Human pure paladin, maybe the new class that's coming, maybe a strenght based ranger of some type. I mostly build pure classes, except my rogue wizzy, so I might try making another fighting type mutt.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say 100% I am going to make another Elven Archer !!

I have 10 ..... why stop now ??



I know for a fact I can build a Ranger ( archer ) that works ! .. I like trying cross classes to see what works and what doesnt. I have deleted many toons lol !!

So I guess the question really becomes ..... what classes am I gonna cross with Ranger next ?

hmmm. in addition to the human pure paladin, WF combat rogue and lots of monks, I might try out a warchanter bard, they seem to be all the rage right now. Forc is my second spellsinger 32pt and better attribute distribution than Tsirio. Still not convince that a mele bard is all that great, but I have certainly played with many that are, just not sure I could build one that wouldn't be gimp.

It appears that Gornn, like "Bob" Dobbs, doesn't make plans, but Gornn possesses "a plan"

I will most likely make a Straight Human Favored Soul (FvS) 20 or a Human FvS12/Ranger6/Monk2 or a Human FvS12/Ranger6/Rogue2. It really depends a lot on how they implement Favored Soul. If the Capstone is really nice, if they implement wings in some way that's fun at FvS17, and if the third tier of any FvS Prestige Class they may create for FvS is nice, I will probably do the FvS20.
