First off... the first thing any guy says when someone makes a Momma joke is "Dude, my Momma's dead"

Second, this is a Internet game forum... Normally, you don't respond to dumb jabs with personal emotional true confessions.

Weyoun (appears to me) to be the type of guy who would love the practical joke of stringing someone along making them feel bad for a dumb comment. Weyoun doesn't appear to me to be the kind of person to say "I'm sensitive about this". He never appears sensitive about anything as far as I can tell on these forums, especially other people's feelings...

Now, it appears he's serious about this... I'll go ahead and offer a sincere apology... My mother died of breast cancer dude... I won't tell you how to deal with that pain. Everyone handles it differently... Obviously, it's a very sore spot for you...

I hope it's obvious that it was very silly comment (come on, spaghetti incident? Even I don't know what that means) and I certainly meant nothing by it.

    And now I'll S TFU.

It's bad form and we have in our loot policy a rule against it (red bold).

    Legion Raid Loot Policy
For any raid run with at least two Legion members, raid loot will be rolled on. We only roll on bound raid items & tomes.

Before the main raid chest is opened, all guildies type their item and tome selection into guild chat. Puggers do not select.

    1. If a selected item drops, then it goes to the person that selected it.

    2. If more than one person has it selected, then it is rolled on by the multiple selectors only.

    3. If a non-selected item drops then it is put up for guild roll. It's important that if you want it just speak up. If you wait, it drags out the process and increases the chance of people dropping and losing that piece of loot.

    4. Check with guildies first, but if there is no guild interest then offer it up to pugger roll.

    5. Raid item pulls are not to be traded. This eliminates people picking an item they don't really need and wouldn't use in order to trade it to a guildmate who does need it for a nice item for themselves or just because they don't want a pugger to get it.

    6. It is preferred that everyone stays in quest until all raid loot is pulled from chest. This is the only way to ensure the loot isn't accidentally given to someone who has already left and cannot get back in to reassign. If you do leave early, drop team immediately again to reduce chance of misassignment of raid loot.

    7. Dimension Doors and Greater Teleports should not be cast anywhere near the chest and should be announced first in game and in vent. This will eliminate the chance of going to click your raid item and instead hit a DD or GTP.

    8. Puggers are allowed to do what they want with raid items they pull. They can take it, give it away, trade it, leave it in the chest or whatever. If they are a selfish sorcerer that takes Madstone Boots over one of our Barbarians then feel free to hate and blacklist, but don't try to force him to hand over the goods. However, it is okay to give helpful suggestions like, "You know you can't cast while using those boots, right? I just want to make sure since once you pull it you can't trade it and maybe one of the fighter types could make better use of it." It's a fine line though, so caution is advised.

    9. Legion takes care of their Casters and Clerics, both Legion and Pugger alike. At the end of any raid, please stop and ask for the Clerics/Bards and sometimes casters to let us know what resources were consumed so we can compensate them. For Legion raids, the Raid Leader should do this, but other Legion members in the party should also make sure this happens. For non-Legion raids, we expect you to make an effort in compensating the clerics and casters appropriately. Most times, simply asking is enough. Other times, a small amount can be given to help share your part of the raid cost.

This practice though when done by others however has bit me not once or twice but multiple times... I.E. Einin is still without a tumbleweed even though she had won rolls on it twice - the person passing the item assigned it to someone outside the quest - thus the item lays wasted in the chest... has happened to Emili the same way with the shield at least three times I can recall. I wish people would take more care in exchanging loot... but I comfort myself and think ok, maybe next time.
I usually hang around at the end of the raid just to make sure no one has accidentally passed me loot, but i usually run in guild groups so trust is much less of an issue. Of course I am also trusting enough that in a Reaver when I pulled a +3 Wis tome and the cleric got a +3 Int tome and we agreed to switch I passed mine first

As someone previously mentioned, I agree that the best way to do it is to specifically offer the roll to the class or classes that can use the item and specify no passing. It is unfortunate that you have to remember to do that, but it saves a lot of aggravation....

However, he does not loot the napkin, he gives it to a sorceror who already had rolled and lost. Maybe I am just overreacting but that seemed seedy to me.
No doubt this is wrong but what can you do. I rolled on an item in VoD recently that the player did not want and won the roll. The player then sends me a private tell asking me if it would be ok to give it to another player to pay off a depth (obviously that player lost the roll). I told him no it would not be alright and that if he wanted to do this he should not have put it up for roll. Then some of his guild mates that were in the group got wind of this (mostly beacuse I made it public because I was mad) and started to comment as well. I gave up and just recalled out and gave up the loot as I do not play this game to be involved in this drama. But I digress...

This also means that if you want it you can buy it from the pugger, but i guess that's what trade means

Yep, fair game. I wouldn't blame any pugger using his pull to his advantage even if the item did him no good. Especially since he has zero chance of us giving him what he needs if at least one Legion person has any need for it whatsoever.

I paid 50kp for the madstone boots and another 50kp for the head out of the same reaver run. That is a good run.

I'm leaving work early to go play ddo. It seems that there is some stuff that needs killing. See you tonight Ren.

****, to leave early, I would have to let 14 other people go home early too.

Just to add my two cents in...What that person did was not cool. You should only roll on an item if you can use it. It's unfair to the other people in the group who are interested in said item if you roll on something only to trade it to someone else.
