DWAT has always had a tradition with end raid loot chests of rolling D100 to see who opens. It has nothing to do with who gets any loot. It's just our way of assigning blame when the loot s ucks. We have one guildie who, 23 times now, has typed /death instead of /d100. It's always amusing to hear the scream of anguish in vent as he realizes no raid loot for him from that VoD run.

Well, I'm back on the forums... haven't logged into the game yet. I know Mod 9 is still dead in the water, and I don't expect to see it anytime soon. But, the option to log in is there now - I just need to solidify the will. I should log in - we're on a fiber optic network now and it should hum compared to the DSL I was on before.

So, I'm back in the sense I'm no longer gone... if that makes any sense at all to anyone other than me.

I'm a University graduate and have a Mensa background, thus... way too smart to mess with Mem.

Best thing I learned in reading one of my fav books of all time - The Art of War - and being married... learn to pick your battles, and ideally only go into those you know you have a good chance of winning.

Hey University Graduate Mensa Man! The writings of Sun Tzu are entitled "The Art of Warfare". Making up your own book by scribing it on a roll of toilet paper with your wife's lipstick while in the can does not an expert on battle make. Though I can understand how, with the all the effort involved, it does tend to be one of your favorite books of all time.

By the way, if you'd like to borrow it, I have a translation of "The Art of Warfare" into English that incorporates the newly discovered Yin-Ch'ueh-shan texts. I also have "Go Rin No Sho" (The Book of Five Rings) by Miyamoto Musashi and several texts/treatises by Tsukahara Bokuden. All of which are interesting reading when preparing for battle.
