Hi all,
anyone suggest an offline game that is similar to diablo 2, fable, puzzle quest, etc.? I know these cover a few different areas of gaming interest but I am trying to find a new game my wife will enjoy. Any suggestions appreciated.

Dungeon Siege 2 is pretty much Diablo 2.5 and a great time killer
Titan Quest also
... I hate you all. really.
I recommend Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. It's good cool graphics, good sound and an amazing story. It's not so much an action game as an adventure game with action. So, lots of dialogue, a few puzzles, etc. Sort of like playing a movie.
I played a game several years ago called Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura . Graphically very similar to Diablo II with a cool storyline and really interesting character development. No classes so you could train whatever stats/skills you wanted and could take your character in a magic direction, or a tech direction (18th century-typr tech) but one cancelled out the other so if you were too inclined to magic, a gun would misfire for you or they won't let you on a train, etc... You could also gather party members who may choose to join you or leave you if you were too good/evil/magic/tech etc.. It was very cool and playing through it more than once was awesome because your alignment etc affected how NPC's reacted to you. Even your appearance did (if you were low charisma or had wounds that hadn't healed yet).
And you didn't choose good or evil at character creation; this was determined by your actions, in-game. If you had good NPC's in your party and you did something over-the-top evil, they might attack you.
Again, really customizable toons, cool setting, and the way your stats, skills, attributes, etc. affected gameplay was really cool. Geat non-linear storyline that could end up many different ways depending on your actions / respsonses. Strangely, not too hard to play either...
Oh and they have half-orcs!

Jedi academy
off topic: favorite games are Total war series, especially when you first meet the elephants....
thanks all, I'll check them out
Elder Scrolls Morrowind & Oblivion
I loved this game, never finished it, but man what a great story. Its the game I think of a lot when I'm playing DDO because the worlds are very similar (Hmmmmm....).
I'll also support The Longest Journey and if you have a PS2 or a PS3 that can play it, Beyond Good and Evil.
Magical Rings are well... magical. - Gandalf
If I can't kill someone online. It's not a game.. At least that's my opinion
