There is **** brew made everywhere and quality to be found by many local producers no matter what country you are in. I would definitely place a majority of the canadian styles in the American Pilsner catagory btw. Time and palce for that style just as there is a time and place for quality.



While I am on the topic of beer. I believe in supporting your local breweries and brewpubs. So much so I combined my love of local favorites and my wedding 2 summers ago. She picked everything else but I chose the rehersal dinner. This is where my rehersal dinner was located: http://www.blvdbeer.com/tastingroom.htm In the original tasting room. 3 hours of open taps and KC style BBQ catered for the food.......best part of the wedding process IMHO.

Dude that is wicked. A rehearsal dinner like that would be the best part of the wedding for me too. But on that score I refuse to have a wedding Ive got better things to drop a few grand on. So I may need more beer when that topic pops in my life. I like pilsners but I prefer amped up pilsners or the german style pils.The american style poor mans pils just doesnt have the taste or bite for me.

When I am in a wine mood I usually like pinot noir or syrah. When I am in a beer mood I try to support our local brewery, Genesee aka High Falls Brewery. They have a great cream ale that is a total joke with local kids (myself included 20 years ago!) but that I really like now that I have actually tried it. I also like the Saranac Beers of Summer and it's getting to be that season

yeah different moods call for different drinks:

Beer will be either Fosters, rolling rock, sam adams, corona

wine (red only) a rose wine (during summer) savaughn blanc(sic) pinot or chiante are nice.

Hard alcohol - is either red bull vodka, captain mos n coke, screwdriver, Gin fizz

extravagent drink is either a long island or a moby ****.

I been on a blvd Single wide IPA kick of late with an occasional Red Hook ESB for change of pace in addition to my standard rule to try any beer i see in the store I have never had before. Yes I like beer.

Long trail a VT brewery has an unfiltered IPA that is awsome. The redhook ESB is alway good. Heavy seas winter brew is an ESB and its quite good. I too look see breweries I like and if I havent tried it ill pick a 6pack up.

Absolutly. I have them at both my favorite places. And sitting on the weekly newsletter allows me to make a call and reserve the good stuff.
