Havent had any in soooo long, but these guys are the best in the world!

    http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/

They dont have one brew in particular that is better than another but the berry tart was memorable.

An ale in a hand blown dark green wine bottle with a cork and wax sealed for good measure says something about how serious they take it.

Heh. I'll put Dock Street's Illuminator up against any beer from Belgium and also Germany.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

Completely disagree there. While the styles definitly come from belgium and germany I prefer the american craft brewing spin. And the aformenttioned breweries have been having plenty of sucess in the beer competitions in europe.

He also has a haughty opinon on the fact that beer is only good cold. Personally it depends on the beer for me. I prefer Victorys moonglow and St Victorious room temp. I prefer Stones Old Gaurdian room temp. I def prefer their Russian Imperial Stout room temp. Ther are a few more as well.

I wasn't gonna make a comment in this thread (just cause I'll look like a MAJOR alcoholic due to the long list and the fact of me owning a kegerator), however I like a few others could NOT let this go.

Right now Micro/Craft brewers in the US are making some of the finest beers in the world that have ever been produced. American beer is not just Bud, Coors, and Miller any more (heck even THEY are trying to start making other beers of higher quality).

Here in Colorado there is an amazing selection of microbrews, and years we host the Great American Beer Feast http://www.beertown.org/events/gabf/. Spend the money on a plane ticket and come give it a try. If you are a beer lover you might not ever leave...

An MGDL 64. Not even supposed to drink today, but since I took it off I'm going to but I'm going to stay with the low can beer until I move to Vodka & Diet Tonic w/ lime.

Cheaper (in the long run), better taste, and bragging rights (specially when your wife tells you to go buy yourself one for your birthday).

Check E-bay for tap handles, that way you'll be able to remember what your drinking after the 10th or so pint

Great advise. Ill just have to make friends with a distributor to get kegs of what I want. Im not sure how easy it is to get kegs of stone on the east coast.

It's all about the American microbrewies.. I haven't encountered many that make bad beer consistently.. I miss not having access to New Belgium beers in Florida right now though :<
    Newbelgium.com

Rogue also makes some good brews
    http://www.rogue.com/

Terapin also makes some good brews..
    http://www.terrapinbeer.com/
just a few of the many options.. mostly in Bars I look for whats on tap and beers I haven't seen before or havent seen in a while..

You know that there are cultural reasons for that.....downunder, beer is served at 2 degrees celcius. I'm not gonna disagree with you about taste, there is no point.

For my preference tho, Stella Artois. Micro breweries are all the rage atm, and one of the best down here is a little place in Freemantle, WA. Little Creatures brewery. It's fair dinkum THE best beer made in AUS.

Stella's not bad. I'm a big fan of New Belgium right now. It's all made in Ft. Collins, CO, so there's a bit of a bias on my part

Oh..and love the Teesquilah comment brother...very nicely played

lol for me its Cabo Wabo teessquilah or bust. Though its really pricey. I will agree that stella is better cold. However blue moon and alot of heffe's I prefer warm. To me cold or warm beer is all dependent on the beer.
