    Default Corvette

Without getting into the politics of it all, after long years without out one, my uncle recently bought one (not the Z01, the regular economy model). The last one he had was whatever year had fixed headlights prior to 2008 (although his wife has had several throughout the decades).

I remember riding in his old one when I was very young. The radio had a bar which when tapped would advance to the next frequency with a strong enough signal.

The new one has that keyless ignition thing, but it's way too cramped for me (I don't know how he squeezes himself into it, as he is almost as tall as me, bulkier and recently had a hip replaced).

Not a fan of the newer (last 10 years or so...) Vettes. If I wanted a Ferrari.... I'd buy one.

I am thinking of buying a corvette myself. I think my ***** would look really big in one of those.

edit: I can't believe I'm not allowed to say that. Even the FCC would allow that.

Been considering buying a project 'Vette. Found a couple at local junk yards with 'Vettes that still have 65-85% of their motors and bodies intact. Most have been late '70's or early '80's models. Found one '69 that was 50%, but the guys was still wanting 10 grand for it...

    1972 stingray convertible
427 CID 3 2bbl carbs factory headers OH MY GAWD car would go sideways at 80 MPH on dry street if you hit the gas to hard. Looked sharp and one of the few vettes i could actaully drive due to my size (Yes i'm only 6 ft tall but with a 58" chest {farm boy build} most vettes are a little tight)

My only real issue with 'vettes is gm's use of forms for a decade before they change bodystyles.... forms get warped and worn but they still use them. Having been a body man when I was younger I hate working on vettes. The first couple years of a bodystyle are fine then after that nothing matches up UGH

I suppose everyone (assuming they like Corvettes) has their fav.

I'm still going with a red '68 coupe.

You are joking right? The current Z06 cranks plenty of horses stock. More than your stock vipers, and top end mustangs and 911s/boxters. I've never been into lambo's and ferraris so dont know too much there but regardless ill take the 70-80 grand over 100 + for them. The new ZR1's are up there with your top end ferraris and cost less. If you really feel you need the power and have the cash leginfelter (spelling might be off) gets them in the 900+ hp range. They also handle better than the above mentioned cars. I stick with the vette.
