I'll make this short and sweet;

You guys have been great to me these last 2 1/2 years or so, and I wanted to give you all a respectful farewell. That being said I am retaining my gear even though I find it most unlikely that I will be returning.

As to the question of why: Well lets just say there are a lot that's pushing me this way, I could blame Turbine for it's lack of content or slowness of updates but that has nothing to do with it, DDO retains it's relevant interest to me as much today as it did in beta. It boils down to the fact that I have another little one on the way and am in the process of moving while trying to sort out the business of where I want to go in life and what I really want to do. I expect that 1 - 2 years ought to do it, but I make no promises about return. Besides.. by that time by good friend Hemora will have dragged me off to Diablo 3 ¬.¬

and to my greatest (yes I forgot to mention him) Shammy, the one I can say who contributed most to my finally attaining 1750 after 2 years of playing - I owe you much more than my thanks - You've been a wall when I needed supporting and a switch when I needed spanking from misbehaving.

My mind may seem clouded by tears of a heavy heart. I know what must be and that the cross you bear is not an easy one. It is now you must put it to rest so you may someday hopefully rejoin us. These past three years are most memorable, the good times, the bad times. Our friendship endures no matter how far apart in miles or time... It's in our hearts, on our minds. Yet, the tears filled my eyes as we parted the shroud and DDO will seem a tad emptier tomorow without a hero, my Antz, mo cumainn.

Selfishly I look forward to the day when I open that warded chest, no it's not a raid, but to log in and find again my friend, my treasure, my Antz. Please do return.

Hope things go well for you in the real world bud.. It's been a while since we actually got to run together, but back in the day it was daily. Sucks that some of us old timers are leaving. I meant what I said. I cried in meridia last night after shroud, Requeim, Riftgod and Heathier, We talked a while Antz said his good-byes, I was distraut, tongue tied and then Requeim logged. Rift consoled me as he dropped Requeim from the group and still I cannot put in words what Anthony's friendship truely means to me.

A few months ago had it not been for Anthony, I would not be here. I took a long hiatis from DDO back home to Ireland last year, When I returned to DDO I logged into a dead guild... all except for one. Anthony, had it not been for him I would had surely pulled the plug and logged off for good, Anthony kept the torch, lit the flame in my heart and founded the Heroes once again.

It was rather fitting Antz last run was on his character named Requiem.
