I don't think there is any finger pointing going on. This thread has been rather civil compared to other loot threads. That being said what comes around goes around. A few years back I was apart of a guild that had a point system that excluded pugs and also was in favor of officers. I was never an officer... so never got the bonus to loot rolls....but in time all my toons were decked out. The guilds were many and full so during that period I put up with questionable tactics....rude behavior to fellows...and extreme greed between officers and regular memebers. In the end the guild crumbled....but I got what I wanted knowledge wise. Problem after that was finding a guild that was fun to run with that did not harbor bad feeling for said ex-guild members. I thought the leadership and a few members were mean spirited.....but man did I find out how hated we really were....it took months to even get a chance. A year later and a few guilds down the road I'm happy to be with a guild that values respect among all peers at all times above a piece of virtual loot.....go Southern Tenant Farmers Union. So in the end....game on and do what you want with your loot....just be Honest up front and let the chips fall where they may.

Gah........ This is the thread you chose to bump after six months to make that announcent? I read thru the whole thread, not paying attention to dates........ready to write forth my rebuttal to find this is a dead debate. To get all rightous and arguementitive would be futile.

Fact remains that this is DDO Korea's guild thread and they are certainly within their rights to use it for guild announcements. You don't have to be a jerk about the OP using his own thread in the Guild forum to talk about...his guild *gasp*

Meh, I'll save the sneakyness and underhanded "trying to make myself look better" tactics for other people.

I think it's a decent system. And it works for you, which is what matters most.
Personally, I prefer the open system, because I really am of the opinion that everyone contributes to a raid, otherwise I wouldn't have taken them in, unless I'm soloing and just giving out free loot.

I have a question for DDO Korea, though. How do you apply your loot system to PUGs that you DON'T lead? Obviously, if you lead a raid and accept some PUGs, then your rules are in place. But what if another guild hosts a raid and accept two DDO Korea players as PUGs? One of them has a debt to the other and pulls the item the other wants. Does your system apply to this situation in your eyes? Because that, I think, would be very wrong.

Clan of the Twilight used to run Abbots with some DDO Korea members often enough. Never had any issues. I don't remember one of them having debt to another one though too. Sh!t. I don't remember any loot dropping 99% of those runs. :/
