I know this has happened to a lot of people, and I'm sure that there have been threads on this in the past. However, there are still some people out there who are not aware of this, so I wanted to share.
Ran a VoD yesterday that had 3 nice items in it.
1. Major Mneumonic potion - original puller assigned to the cleric who had already left the raid instance.
2. Tharne's goggles - original puller already had them, and offered them up for roll. Only one person rolled the stated 1d50 for them. Several other people rolled a 1d100 for the fun of it, and the original puller passed the goggles to the highest 1d100 roller. However, this person had also left the raid instance.
3. Glacial Gloves - original puller offered them up for roll, and kept asking people who had left the raid instance if they wanted to roll on them. Luckily, I was able to remind them that I was the only person still in the raid who wanted them.
Granted, a potion isn't a big deal - I only mentioned it because it was yet another valuable item that got left in the raid chest.
The point is, please make sure that the person you are assigning the raid loot to is still in the instance. I'm a big believer in Your Loot Your Choice... it just sucks when someone's generosity is wasted.
