I am recently reminded of an old interest I had. Driving a really awesome cab/passenger service. Once I'm stable personally, I think I'll start working on a vehicle for that as a hobby, and if it ever turns out well I'll start doing it.

What kind of vehicle would I use? Most vehicles i see used for this seem completely out of place. Regular car/van sized seats less comfortable then economy airplane seats. Odd converted buses and vans with horrid handling and need to go forward and back three times to turn around. I'd want something roomy, comfy, and truly awesome.

I need something large to very comfortably fit at least four. I was looking at a dodge sprinter originally, but the wheels are super tiny and the driver's cab is pretty cramped. I saw an article on slashdot that lead me to a company called Tata motors from India, and I remembered seeing all kinds of unusual vehicles I see on TV for military service in various places around the world.

All season, all weather, stable, big, but with a good turning radius. Preferably NOT a module stuck on a truck bed, but more singular in shape, like a mobile home but smaller and tougher.

I was looking at a Volvo C303, which hasn't been made since 1980... **** if I know how I'd get one, but it's a good picture of where my mind is just now. It's got a slightly tighter turning radius then the Grand Marquis I'm driving now, believe it or not, and it's a full linked interior that I could clean out and refurnish any way I like.

Thoughts?
