Found this on youtube.
This writer is one of my all time heroes.
I dabble in writing myself from time to time, and if I could turn out works half as well as this man, I'd be happy indeed.
He writes across popular genre lines, so if you want science fiction, he has the four Hyperion books: Hyperion, Fall of Hyperion, Endymion, and ends the four with Rise of Endymion.
Also he has Ilium and Olympos in a SciFi vein.
If it is horror you're after, Song of Kali is good. Carrion Comfort is incredible, and Summer of Night along with Children of the Night are also must reads of his in horror.
He writes in more than these two genres, but that should get you started if you're interested. I think he has twenty-five books published at this point.
Anyway, my writer-hero has a new novel out.
I hope people find this as interesting and as informative as I do, both on the prospects of the novel itself, and the info he relates on the research he did for the thing.
