WTT Firestrom Greaves for Min2 or Lightn2

I am looking to trade my Firestorm Greaves for a complete set of ingredients for either a Mineral II or Lightning II weapon. I may consider taking a Belt of Thoughtful Rememberance, a Bloodstone, or a Vorpal Shuriken in place of some of the ingredients.

Sorry man, but there is pretty much no way that anyine is going to trade 24 larges for firestorm greaves. They are worth a bit, but nearly that much. Most you might get is 6 larges by my thinking...

6? look me up, justicar; I have never seen a reasonably priced pair of greaves for sale, ever, and know a dozen people who would jump that that kind of price if it were ever offered: people who pull greaves do not trade them, they are excruciatingly hard to acquire.

I've got to say that. though the prices people ask for some things are completly insain, I wouldnt trade my set of greaves for all the WoP's in the game so its hard to judge whats really a fair price on them from that perspective ><

lol one of the most overpowered? one of the rarest? I beg to differ, it is difficult, but i own 2 pair, so they aren't THAT rare...and how is it over power? have you read the description? it says (paraphrasing) that after all other forms of resistance have been penetrated then the 33% is applied, not the other way around, so you are only talking about 20-60 points of damage you are saving your self in the end... (beside the 600 point save failed delayed blast fireball that hairy will hit you with now and then, but your most likely dead anyway)

It is a named item that drops out of a chest that can be easily farmed. Just because not many people farm them frequently or as easily as a bloodstone does not make them an uber rare, hard to aquire item. I wouldnt even consider trading more than 6 larges for them. That's just my opinion though..

I've been thinking about this... At first I thought naw he's crazy, Min II Ingredients for a st of FS Greaves..... I've got plenty of Greaves.... But I've been sacking that chest for over 2 years.... If you don't have enough sets, well it WOULD be worth it.. You KNOW you can pull larges, it jsut takes running the Shroud, but you knwo you can and will pull them. There are people who've run the Greaves chest literally 100's of times with nothing. The greaves are irreplaceable, nothing else in game does what they do, they are invaluable in high fire damage quests....

Yep, I think thye're worth it to many players... Maybe not all but to many yes they are!

Trading threads are really an inappropriate place to argue about the value of an item. If you don't want to pay the requested price, don't post.

The greaves are irreplaceable, nothing else in game does what they do, they are invaluable in high fire damage quests....

I do have a question that challenges this statement. Please explain how the level 4 arcane spell Fire Shield that protects against 50% of damage is somehow inferior to the greaves? I understand the difference between dispellable/non-dispellable, however, I can't think of anywhere in the game that you encounter anti-magic & intense fire damage (except perhaps Velah, but that's beaten with a high reflex save)

They stack.


Also, not everyone can umd fireshield and it lasts 50 seconds; greaves last as long as you are wearing them.

I check the Ghallanda ah at least once a day and boots are one of the sections I look at and I can tell you I have never, ever seen a pair of fs greaves listed for anything but max bid of 2 mil plat..ever.
