Seeking Advice on Spells

As I said before, my friend and I are returning players looking to get to 1750 favor so we can start new 32-point builds. It looks to me like this essentially requires doing all quests through level 10 on elite.

He will be using a level 8 rogue, and I a level 10 cleric that I plan to use. My level 10 cleric is an old-style healing cleric with none of the feats (empower) for offensive spells. I changed out extra turning for the quicken feat.

I know this is will to some extent vary with the quest, but is it more-or-less standard practice to give spells like 'stalwart pact' and 'nightshield' to each group member? Is there a post that discusses the 'routine' use of the newer spells? Which have proven worth the cost, which have not?

nightshield is self only, stalwart pact is good for weak groups.

Currently I'm at level 7 and since I tend to main heal I give out Mass Aid, Mass Shield of Faith, and Circle vs Evil for my buffs and save the rest of my mana for healing, restorations, and the occassional hold person
