I think i must be the only brit who really hates cricket.. and yes there is sunlight in england, it was about 7 years ago, I know i went outside and it burnt my pale skin forcing me to run back inside the house and drink my warm beer and watch neighbours.

Hey heres a question, so us English eat a lot of beans on toast (pork and beans on toast) and it seems that the Americans, (or it just could be all my friends) seem to think that this is the most disgusting thing ever, do you eat a lot of beans on toast in oz?

the sequence of events on Friday Nights are as follows:

1. Buy wifey something to pacify her attention that im buying alcohol.
2. Buy assorted alcoholic beverages
3. Take care of immediate house chore needs, pet kids, tell the wife i love her. Now the fun begins
4. 6-pack of BL lime @ 5:30 p.m.. Drink the watered beer until done prepping toons for the night, usually 6-pak is gone by 6:30...maybe 6:35 p.m.
5. Real beer!!! consisting of either of the following: (Minimum 12-pak) - bottles only
1. Sam Adams (Octoberfest and/or Boston); Fosters, Corona, Rolling Rock, Steinlager, Asahi. <average 1 beer every 10 minutes maybe faster or slower, depending on quest and group. i.e. the more fun im having the faster i drink>
2. Either a 22 Oz or another 6-pak of assorted "i wanna try" types of beer.
3. Usually by 10:30 p.m. im rollin now - full steam and playing decently - commentary included. Now this is where gears change. Depending on how much I ate and what beer remains will determine the next course of action, but usually if i have a beer or two left and feel like running for another hour or 4, ill grab the vodka (absolute) and any combination of the following works:
1. Vodka/orangejuice - traditional screwdriver
2. Vodka redbull - the original zinger
3. Vodka/Brisk ice tea (youd be surprised)
4. Vodka shots - why bother with any other combination.
My mixtures are pretty heavy but simple - half glass of vodka - a few cubes of ice and the remaining portion with assorted mix beverage for flavor and color.

I generalyl dont make it past two (excluding the redbull version - which jump starts me to at least a third)

thats about it, my body is well adjusted to Friday nights. The rest of the week im sober and yes, i excercise everyday, except Fridays!

7. Beer...I like ALL beer, current favs are Etna Brewing Old Grind Porter, Mendocino Brewing Eye of the Hawk(amber ale), Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine.
8. A coupla shots of Jameson Irish Whisky.
9. Gin martini, up, with a twist. (Usually Sapphire, but Tanqueray will work, Hendricks is best though)
10. Coffee with Baileys
11. Water...(oops didnt make the top 10!)

its a sad state of affairs ill admit, but i used to drink everyday. Now with a wife/kids/added resposibility I have a trickled version, albeit binge drinking 1 night a week. And yes, if i dont jog, lift weights or do some physical activity for the remaining week i loose focus and get a hankering for the drink.

I actually didnt work out last night but i was so petered out from working out and late night DDO for the past couple of days I zonked out on the couch at 7:30 p.m. (i guess that is the exception to the rule).

I have a question to you though Disavowed - off-topic.

I used to run with a character named "sixpak" in the earlier years on Reidra every now and again. My original toon was a Rogue named Aleutian. Just curious.

pork and beans on toast. ***? as in straight from the can on a slice of toasted wonderbread? dangerously close to Sh*t on a shingle. I can imagine it would be edible, and offer sustenance but taste?

The english have given many things to the world, legal systems, good tea, reasons for revolutions, great beer, and the list goes on. However the culinary arts are not something the Brits managed to master, the best they can muster is fish and chips which is essentially fish sticks and french fries. I am thankful for the great beer and I do love a cup of tea with a cookie (biscuit?), I appreciate the language, the legal system, and Gin so hold on to those, leave the menu's out of the patriotic boasting.

If I dont lift and do cardio it will pack on and being in the service I have to keep my fitness up. Besides It keeps me sane.
